Fantastic aroma to this beer, with a clean citrusy taste,(hints of grapefruit). Nice clean colour. Not much more to add except to say it was a lovely and welcome pint to celebrate the diamond jubilee. Fin (10472) - Merton, Oxfordshire, England, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - DEC 28, 2007
Cask at The Cape of Good Hope, Warwick, 28-12-07 Poured golden with fruity aroma. This beer really hits you with loads of fruity juiciness, it’s refreshing and just bursting with such a refreshing bitter hoppy flavour, loved it. DruncanVeasey (8225) - NUNEATON, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - AUG 6, 2008
Cask, The Criterion, Leicester. Lacy gold pint drenched with neat grapefruit loveliness. Resinous, earthy, raw and smooth. Better than Oakham. Instantly cut through all that Belgian nonsense with a great big citrussy slap in the face. Magnificent. Mads Langtved (2243) - Copenhagen K, DENMARK - NOV 12, 2005
Cask conditioned GBBF 2005:
A lot of citrus in the nose. Quite fullbodied and very hoppy. This is a great ESB. paleryder (5) - ENGLAND - DEC 27, 2005 does not count
On cask at Dragon Inn, Worcester. Small head that didn’t hang about in the glass. Nice whiff of herbs in aroma, wasn’t overpowering. Real firm, bitter flavour that emphasised hops, leading to a long finish that still maintained the herbal background. A really pleasant pint.

Cask conditioned at The Cape of Good Hope, Warwick. Pale gold with short lasting head. Not the best looking beer, but this one is about taste. There is a pale malty base, not much more than a carrier for the big hop flavour delivered with panache I should say. Herby is true, this has a touch of sage and parsley then an enormous bitterness, in fact this is very bitter on a long finish. Good stuff. Cask Stillage at the RUFC, Bromsgrove 15/07/2006
Fruity aroma. Golden coloured very hoppy pale and fruity with a crisp and slightly dry bitter malt finish. madsberg (11762) - Søborg, DENMARK - AUG 7, 2005
Cask @ GBBF 2005: Golden coloured. Clear. White head. Sweet, fruity and light hooppy. Has some light cocoanotes. Is medium bodied and is fresh and crisp. Ends on a citric bitterness. Good one. DanielBrown (4499) - Birmingham (via Leicester), West Midlands, ENGLAND - AUG 7, 2005
On tap at GBBF 05. Good hoppy Golden - similar to Hellbender. Some sticky hops and a nice blend of sweet and salty. Good drinkable stuff. chriso (7533) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - OCT 9, 2005
Cask (handpump), GBBF, August 2005 (Day 2). Mid gold colour. The emphasis is, as the name suggests, firmly on the hops (although the commercial description, oddly, describes it as malty, which I did not find to be the case). Very grassy and herbaceous on the nose. Lots of citrus on the palate. Dry and fairly bitter, building in the lingering aftertaste. Well made.
