Draught at the Wedge, Asheville, NC as Belgian Style Abbey Ale. 8%.
Pours slightly cloudy copper coloured with a tiny off-white head. Caramel sweetness, yeast, mild bitterness, hops and sugar in the aroma.
The flavour is sweet malty with some hoppy bitterness, sugary sweetness and mild yeastiness. Not very Belgian.

Appearance: muddy dark red, frothy beige head, streaks of drippy lace
Aroma: sweet and fruity aroma, light spicyness
Flavor: rich malt flavor, dark caramel sweetness, lots of fruity esters, just a touch of spicy phoenolics adds depth and a bit of balance

Draught at brewery. Orange body. Some sugar and sweet malt followed by a bit of caramel. Nice. Suttree (6415) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - DEC 6, 2010
OK, I rarely say anything is too hoppy, but this wasn’t really like an abbey ale. Reddish copper, with a thin ring of foam Smell sweet and amlty, but the flavor is more like, I dunno, a standard brown ale with some Belgian yeast or something. Tasty, but kind of odd... decaturstevo (6244) - decatur, Tennessee, USA - DEC 5, 2010
Copper with tan head and lace. Light brown sugar and bread on the aroma. Bread brown sugar and Belgian yeast. Medium bodied with good carbonation. DiarmaidBHK (5078) - Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 20, 2012
Draft at wedge. Pours dark brown with a thin khaki head. Not much on the nose and I’m not getting much of the Belgian yeasty thing on the tongue. It is quaffable despite the slight alcohol burn. Dickinsonbeer (5074) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - JAN 24, 2010
Tap at Wedge- Nice overall- seemed restrained- I thought it was going to be too fruity or too phenolic, not so. Pours a nice light amber with a thin head. Aroma is nice- biscuit and toasty malts, light honey- very light restrained fruitiness- pear and light raisin, yeasty and doughy but nice. Flavor is yeasty, restrained phenolics- light leather hints, toast, biscuity, light caramel very light fruits, and relatively clean- easy to drink too.
