Draught at the Wedge, Asheville, NC. 6.8%. Black colour with a tiny red hue and a small tan head. Sweet fruity hoppy aroma with some sweet and dark maltiness. Not bad. Not a roasted and coffee one. The flavour is sweet dark fruitiness, dark malt and mild roasty notes. Balanced. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Keg @ Wedge during RBWG, Asheville. Deep brownish pour with a modest head. Some mashed apples. Roasted maple wood and nuts. Nice tangy dark fruit accents. Mildly yeasty. Dark roast coffee. Chewy malt. Medium body, smooth. OK.

Draft taster at the brewery. Pours dark brown with reddish highlights and a small off white head. The aroma and flavor have roasted malts, chocolate, a larger dose of dark fruits with a hint of caramel. The only negative I can see was the light body.

phaleslu (10553) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - FEB 22, 2014
Draft in a taster at the brewery. Pours a deep brown with an off-white head. Notes of chocolate, nuts, maple, earthy hops, and an unexpectedly high amount of dark fruits. Very light-bodied, with moderate carbonation and a sweet mouthfeel that finishes dry. A little thin, but not a bad porter.

Taster on tap at Wedge during RBWG. Mostly clear, but darker red brown color. Thin off-white head, leaves good lace. Nice chocolatey nose, lightly spicy. Medium plus body. Smooth, lighter carbonation. Lightly slick. Good nuttiness. Moderate sweet taste, very light bitter. Solid, sweeter porter.

on tap @ Wedge Brewing --- Clear, very dark amber with a good head cover, drooping swirls of lace. Taste is roasted malt with biscuit and earthy overtones. Sweet malt grows and pushes through to a lightly bittered finish. Easy to drink, satisfying, worth a look.

2014 RBWG Draft at the brewery tasting room. Black pour with a tan head. Dusty cocoa powder aroma. Lightly sweet flavor full of roast malts and chocolate. Good body, smooth.
