POurs out a clear gold under a smallish, white head. Fruity aroma with hints of light toffee. Medium body, lightly carbonated, slightly sticky. Starts with a honey like sweetness that transitions into a softly bitter finish, but the sweetness tends to linger.

Draft at the brewery tap during RBWG 2014 - Asheville. Pours clear yellow-gold with a creamy, white topping. Very sweet, with ample yeast expression, white bread, white sugar. Full bodied with fine carbonation. Lightly warming in the finish, with more Belgian yeast, hearty pale bread. Hefty stuff overall. Enjoyable in small doses.

Location: Draft at the brewery, 1/4/15

Aroma: The aroma is a nice mix of floral notes, bubblegum, and yeast/spice
Appearance: It has a bright orange color, with a small head, and some medium lace
Flavor: It is fairly sweet, but not cloying, solidly complex, and rather flavorful
Palate: This beer has a medium body, a smooth, pillowy mouthfeel, and spicy finish
Overall Impression: Shout out to those who went to see the new movie, not my thing, but I was happy to try this beer. Nice stuff.

My Bottom Line:
Bubblegum and flowers bloom through this Tripel’s fluffy feel, playing alongside sugary cereals and alcohol warmth.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A slice of foam tops the cloudy dark yellow.
-The flavor profile is quite expressive and balanced.
-The mouthfeel could be airier.
-If they bottle condition this, I think it can be a very authentic example.

On tap at the brewery taproom .

A hazed golden ale with a thin white head. In aroma, sweet fruity banana malt with cloves, alcohol warmth, very nice. In mouth, a sweet fruity malt with light grassy hops, light coriander, curacao, nice Belgian ale. On tap at brewery.

An average Belgian strong. Sweet and yeasty. Light yeasty aroma. Kinda thick and over carbonated. Malty light ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Keg @ Wedge during RBWG, Asheville. Hazy gold pour with a small head. Rotting cantaloupe. Strong Belgian yeasty sweetness. Overpowering, the opposite of graceful. The taste is similar. Quite hot and sticky. Mashed apple and biscuit. Belgian yeast. Sickly sweet and slick. Overall, really not my thing.

Draft at the brewery during RBWG. Pours a cloudy golden color with a small white head. The aroma and flavor have sweet bready malts, yeast, ample fruity character, banana, raisins, citrus, Belgian candi sugar with some mild spices. Decent enough, but fell short of my expectations.

dmac (6259) - Toms River, New Jersey, USA - FEB 21, 2014
Draft at the brewpub during RBWG bus tour. Poured hazed yellow with a smaller foamy white head. Aroma of grains, yeast, tropical fruit rinds, sugar and golden raisin. Average carbonation and a medium mouthfeel. Flavor is sweet, grains, toast, yeast, dry sugar and tropical fruts.

[ Tap ][ Wedge ][ 16oz ][ Stemmed Flute ][ $7 ][ 2/7/14 ]
>> Thanks Leighton, Neilsen, et al. for the share. Clear golden pour with weaker foam. Nose is vegetal/parsnip, sugar, soap, toilet cleaner. Taste is sticky, chemical, papery. Probably my least favorite at Wedge today.
