Murky orange-amber with good, foamy, off-white head / Earthy, dull nose of pine, citrus, and caramel / Medium body, somewhat sweet and sour, moderate hop bite with light bitter finish / Flavors of sour malt, muddy pine, mixed citrus, and caramel / Mediocre. Beer 22 Asheville trip. Poured a light clear orange, nice head. Aroma was, well, quite hoppy, citric and earthy. Flavor was balancing caramel accented malts, and a bracing hop finish, surprisingly floral and grassy in nature. A well constructed IPA, although the hop profile wasn’t my favorite in the world. From tap. Pours deep golden with haze. Aroma was earthy hop. Taste was mildly hoppy but balanced with a malt backbone.

Draft in a flight at the brewpub. Decent hoppiness to the those, but I found the taste to be a lot maltier than I like in an IPA and not very hoppy. Travlr (25267) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - JUL 14, 2012
Draft at the source. Cloudy variegated golden brown color. Aroma pf tropical fruit and bitter lemon. Taste is bitter fruit, cotrus. Great body.

Fresh growler to pint. Looks good; deep orange with nice head and carbonation. Smells pretty good too; a nice balance of hops and malt. Tastes much like it smells with nice balance and a solid mouthfeel. Good beer - and as fresh as it gets! PaperKnife (82) - - MAY 27, 2012
Draft. Cloudy orange, wispy white head. Aroma is citrus, grainy, some pepper. Bitter, malt, citrus, and sweet finish. coolpop (1394) - Birmingham, Alabama, USA - APR 1, 2012
Draft at the brewery. Poured copper with a medium-sized off-white head. Aroma and flavor were piney and grapefruity hops, some caramel malt. Medium mouthfeel. Solid, but the least interesting beer I tried at the brewery. gvmdw7 (188) - California, USA - MAR 22, 2012
Poured a hazy orange hue. Smelled citrusy. First impression of the taste was primarily lemon. Eventually that faded and only bitterness was left. They used a lot of hops, but I think it lacked much of the character I’d expect from an IPA nickd717 (4706) - San Francisco, California, USA - FEB 20, 2012
On tap at the brewery. Slightly hazy copper color with a small white head on top. Bright and fruity hop aroma with some sweet malt and cereal grain notes. Orange and apricots on the flavor. Dry, earthy, and balanced; tasty yet not overly bitter. Medium body with average carbonation. Solid IPA.
