light and straightforward. decent maltiness in the aroma and taste. on the thin side. sessionable. nice to see a fest out this time of year, and this is a good one though not a stellar one. obguthr (6355) - Staunton, Virginia, USA - JUN 18, 2010
Caramel and toffee nose, with a metallic tinge. Cloudy orange, thick yellow head, poor retention. Lightly sweet unmalted grain initially, tinny at midpalate. Finishes more bitter with rotten cherries. Not the greatest maerzen or vienna, but drinkable and still better than macro swill. coolpop (1394) - Birmingham, Alabama, USA - MAY 24, 2010
Draft. Pours a dark orangey amber with a medium off white head. Aroma and flavor are malty (caramel with some darker malt) with a floral, citrus hoppy nose. Full mouthfeel. Easy drinking but fairly tasty. Tricountybeer (167) - Dillsburg, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 15, 2010
Pours a deep golden orange color with a light off white head. Some sour aroma. Sour flavor as well. Very little carbonation. ROGUE (2215) - Lewes, Delaware, USA - NOV 19, 2009
12oz bottle. Poured a clear dark amber color with a two finger whitish head. Aroma brown sugar and mild spice. Taste was more sweet than bitter, with sweet caramel malts and some hop balancing. A strange bitter flavor throughout. Somewhat thin, very carbonated.

Appearance: Nice copper color with a small white head.
Aroma: Malty nose with hints of cardboard. Not very inspiring.
Flavor: Malt, alcohol, notes of grain, cardboard and a strong acridic bitterness. Sounds great, don’t it!
Palate: Medium carbonation with a medium mouthfeel and a medium-long, acridic finish.
Overall: I am getting less and less impressed with this brewery by the beer. Skip this one too. 6ROW (472) - corpus christi, Texas, USA - SEP 26, 2009
on tap. orange pour with a small white head. found it to be light on the malt flavor and aromas. Birdiebeagle (958) - Perkasie, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 10, 2009
Bottle Pours a clear amber with a decent of white head. The heads has average lasting. Lacing is okay. Aroma was subtle with hints of floral hops and spices, Had a good carbonation. The flavor was drinkable but not very deep. Has a good mouthfeel. The texture is watery. Has an okay finish with a easy aftertaste. Refreshing and drinkable but not real memorable. Bottle courtesy of durhambeer. Pours brown with a thin white head. Smells of caramel, fruit, some hints of molasses. Tastes of pepper, spice, some hints of caramel and a nice dry wildflower/citrus taste as the beer warms. taalhiker (190) - Dayton, Ohio, USA - SEP 23, 2008
From bottle. Brought back from OBX. Pours amber with decent white head. Sour aroma and taste overwhelm this beer.
