12oz bottle. Poured a clear dark amber color with a two finger whitish head. Aroma brown sugar and mild spice. Taste was more sweet than bitter, with sweet caramel malts and some hop balancing. A strange bitter flavor throughout. Somewhat thin, very carbonated. Iphonephan (6988) - Jackson Hole/McLean, Virginia, USA - OCT 21, 2012
On draft at the brewery restaurant. Pours clear amber with a white head. Sweet malt backbone. Not much else. MainerInExile (41) - Nashua, New Hampshire, USA - NOV 24, 2001
There really isn’t much remarkable here. It’s, well...an amber lager. Slight malt. Slight hops. Slight flavor. Inoffensive, for what it’s worth. beastdog75 (364) - Brick, New Jersey, USA - AUG 11, 2003
I was surprised at how watery tasting this beer was. While it looks nice, it has a very light malt taste and smell to it and that's pretty much it. Easy to drink, but altogether kind of boring. taalhiker (190) - Dayton, Ohio, USA - SEP 23, 2008
From bottle. Brought back from OBX. Pours amber with decent white head. Sour aroma and taste overwhelm this beer.

22 oz. bomber. a light lager with not much flavor but although is drinkable and refreshing. dark orange color, medium head. It definitely has a clean taste. Nate (4279) - Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 9, 2003
Weak aroma - malt, light bitterness. Sugary and bit of caramel. Kind of herbal. Small off-white foamy head that dissipated quickly. Small amount of haze in amber tan liquid. Medium watery body and medium subdued carbonation. King of weak in taste. Malty but not that sweet with some tang/saltiness. Very little bitterness. Weak and bitter finish and nutty after. gws57 (1276) - Saint Charles, Illinois, USA - JUN 20, 2006
Had this one on draught in Manteo, North Carolina. Way overrated. Medium reddish brown pour with a filmy head and very little nose, cidery and somewhat dry but balanced. Not terrible, but not good either. Arnie (274) - Chicagoland, IL, Illinois, USA - JUL 21, 2006
On tap at the brewery. A deep amber and thick head, but nothing notable. Mildly nutty nose. Tricountybeer (167) - Dillsburg, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 15, 2010
Pours a deep golden orange color with a light off white head. Some sour aroma. Sour flavor as well. Very little carbonation.
