Looks great with a good white head and a deep amber body, smells great with a creamy malty aroma and then taste like an old tin can. There is definatly something lacking in the taste of this beer which is a big let down because I liked their black raddish brew alot. Kinz (3786) - Glen Allen, Virginia, USA - OCT 18, 2003
Amber appearance, rapidly diminishing head. Aroma of mild malt and a bit of fruitiness. Not much malt backbone, some hoppy flavors in there, bit of grapefruit, and a bit of asparagus. Better than I expected, but pretty boring. IPFreely (1470) - Sanborn, New York, USA - SEP 26, 2004
Amber in color, off white head. Biscuity malts, some lighter hops, a little toasty as well. A little to thin I thought, but easy to drink. Decent. muzzlehatch (4969) - Beloit, Wisconsin, USA - APR 2, 2005
12 oz bottle. Clear amber-copper, frother moderately stable head...lightly spiced corn-sweet nose is fairly vapid...bit of floral character and a touch of woodiness in the caramel-laden, light and effervescent body...dull but drinkable, doesn’t seem close to a Vienna to me. 6ROW (473) - corpus christi, Texas, USA - SEP 26, 2009
on tap. orange pour with a small white head. found it to be light on the malt flavor and aromas.

Rated from old notes. Hoppy and toasted taste. Unchallenging and has the makings of a failure, but comes back around and settles into a drinkable if unglamorous beer. ARMed (625) - Garnet Valley, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 17, 2002
Nothing distinguishing about this brew. Typical for all microbrew lagers. Slightly bitter and tangy. Not very complex, but pretty drinkable. An average brew at best. Suttree (6505) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - SEP 25, 2003
Dark copper, kahki head. Bready, yeasty aroma. Nice and full bodied. Salty, veggie (califlower?) flavor. decent finish, but the veggie flavor dominates. can't recommend. ROGUE (2216) - Lewes, Delaware, USA - NOV 19, 2009
12oz bottle. Poured a clear dark amber color with a two finger whitish head. Aroma brown sugar and mild spice. Taste was more sweet than bitter, with sweet caramel malts and some hop balancing. A strange bitter flavor throughout. Somewhat thin, very carbonated. Iphonephan (7283) - Jackson Hole/McLean, Virginia, USA - OCT 21, 2012
On draft at the brewery restaurant. Pours clear amber with a white head. Sweet malt backbone. Not much else.
