Looks great with a good white head and a deep amber body, smells great with a creamy malty aroma and then taste like an old tin can. There is definatly something lacking in the taste of this beer which is a big let down because I liked their black raddish brew alot. Kinz (3786) - Glen Allen, Virginia, USA - OCT 18, 2003
Amber appearance, rapidly diminishing head. Aroma of mild malt and a bit of fruitiness. Not much malt backbone, some hoppy flavors in there, bit of grapefruit, and a bit of asparagus. Better than I expected, but pretty boring. 6ROW (463) - corpus christi, Texas, USA - SEP 26, 2009
on tap. orange pour with a small white head. found it to be light on the malt flavor and aromas. hauxe (712) - Butzbach, Hesse, GERMANY - DEC 20, 2015
Rated from old notes. Hoppy and toasted taste. Unchallenging and has the makings of a failure, but comes back around and settles into a drinkable if unglamorous beer. fishman (350) - Philadelphia, USA - SEP 7, 2001
I give up, this beer needs alot of work, but with that work it could be good. It is way too soft and yeasty. Very boring, and slightly watery. For not being offensive I give it an average mark.

This is not a very good lager...at all. Seemed way too dry and flavorless. ARMed (625) - Garnet Valley, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 17, 2002
Nothing distinguishing about this brew. Typical for all microbrew lagers. Slightly bitter and tangy. Not very complex, but pretty drinkable. An average brew at best. Suttree (6358) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - SEP 25, 2003
Dark copper, kahki head. Bready, yeasty aroma. Nice and full bodied. Salty, veggie (califlower?) flavor. decent finish, but the veggie flavor dominates. can't recommend. ROGUE (2215) - Lewes, Delaware, USA - NOV 19, 2009
12oz bottle. Poured a clear dark amber color with a two finger whitish head. Aroma brown sugar and mild spice. Taste was more sweet than bitter, with sweet caramel malts and some hop balancing. A strange bitter flavor throughout. Somewhat thin, very carbonated. Iphonephan (6950) - Jackson Hole/McLean, Virginia, USA - OCT 21, 2012
On draft at the brewery restaurant. Pours clear amber with a white head. Sweet malt backbone. Not much else.
