Direkt nach dem Einschenken fällt der Schaum in sich zusammen, das Weissbier schmeckt eher nach einem dunklen "Hellen", und das war auch nicht besonders lecker.

Pours a clear dark amber with white head Mellow aroma of Caramel, licorice, vanilla, banana, floral hops and some burnt wood. Round licorice mouth feel with low carbonation. Aftertaste is licorice, caramel, sweet malt, red apples and lingering sweet licorice. Overall: Very nice. Licorice, what? This is good, but miss some more confidence in the flavors. It’s unclear brown with a huge, creamy head. The aroma has notes of syrup, burnt sugar, light fruit, yeast and wheat. The sweet flavor has notes of caramel, yeast, burnt sugar, fruit and wheat, and the finish is slightly yeasty. MoritzF (10068) - Ottobrunn, GERMANY - JAN 31, 2012
(bottle) Hazy, chestnut-brown colour with a tanned medium-sized foamy head. Moderately sweet cara-malty and wheaty aroma with notes of banana, berry-fruits and pop-corn. Sweet and sour flavour, light to medium bodied with a mild carbonation. Present fruit-character with wheat and moderately toasted malt, caramel and restrained clovy notes; mildly sweet and slightly bitter and toasty finish with a tinge of sour-fruity notes. A decent example of the style. 24.XII.11 Miksu (5053) - Jyväskylä, FINLAND - DEC 28, 2010
0.5 l bottle (as Weideneder Schlankl Weisse Dunkel). Hazy reddish brown color with creamy head. The aromas of clove, nuts and bread. Dryish flavor with clove, pepper, nuts, bread and some banana. Tasty, good balance between nutty maltiness and spiciness. SudsMcDuff (8468) - .....Manchester United.........., Texas, USA - NOV 26, 2010

Pours light brown, hazy with a substantial white head, mostly lasting. Aroma of yeasty dough with notes of clove and banana. Flavour reflects the aroma: medium sweet toasted malt with clove, banana and a touch of corriander. Medium body, texture somewhat sticky, lively carbonation. Finish is rather long dry with only a trace of hop bitterness. Overall a decent, refreshing Dunkel Hefeweizen.
