A full rich bodied, hoppy, seasonal lager. Especially brewed for the Festbier season. This beer truly represents the Bavarian way of celebrating. Deep gold color, great mouthfeel and lots of flavor. Prost!

Temptation's rating

Temptation (257) - - NOV 29, 2012
Very yeasty aromas to dough and spices, with an industrial lager-like appeareance. Nice white head, persistent, with no lace. Mouthfeel is very watery, bland, with notes to spices, maybe fruits, and slightly salty. No malts. Pine style hops in mouth. In my opinion, the worst Weihenstephaner I’ve ever tasted. It has nothing at all. Deceiving.

Golden with a small white head. Aroma is bread, cereal, herbal notes. Same in taste. Light bitter aftertaste.

Jabic (557) - Plainfield, Vermont, USA - MAY 5, 2017
Ar: Moderately toasted malt; clean, with slight bread and sweetness. Ap: Clear light orange; medium-small white head with low retention, leaving a mixed matrix of large and small bubbles. T: Lightly sweet toasted malt, rich without being an assault of melanoidins; clean yeast profile; some graininess mid-palate, mingles with chalk and herbal hop flavor; medium-low bitterness; finish is clean and lightly toasty. P: Medium-light body with high carbonation; finish is dry. O: A very drinkable festbier; rich melanoidin malt character is present without being over the top; sweetness is kept low and bitterness is kept just high enough to keep the beer dry and refreshing.

Bottle. Light gold color, faint skunk. Bitterness on the flavor, biscuit malt. Some sweet notes. Light grassy hops. Straightforward. Nice example of the style. Easily poundable.

I had it from the bottle. It was a bit skunky. The taste was corn, caramel malt, and grain. It was a bit thin. This was below average.

phfyysik (1249) - Tartu, ESTONIA - MAR 10, 2017

Tap. @ La Linterna Ciega, Seville, Spain. A: Golden. T: Malt, grain, sweet, fruity.

ordybill (1731) - Douglasville, Georgia, USA - NOV 16, 2016
Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a pint glass. The appearance is a crystal clear golden straw color with a large white head. The aroma is mostly malt with some floral hops. The taste matches the nose.
