COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A full rich bodied, hoppy, seasonal lager. Especially brewed for the Festbier season. This beer truly represents the Bavarian way of celebrating. Deep gold color, great mouthfeel and lots of flavor. Prost!

12oz picked up today at the COOP.. Poured into my small hefe glass 2" foamy head.. the brew is crystal clear straw golden. Nose is grainy pale malts with some very light spicy hoppiness... This is a pretty damn nice helles.. but completely in the wrong category for an octoberfest. Flavor mirrors the nose. pils malt with spicy/lightly floral hoppiness...

Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a pint glass. The appearance is a crystal clear golden straw color with a large white head. The aroma is mostly malt with some floral hops. The taste matches the nose.

Light hop aroma decent head, golden straw color. More hope than malt but reasonably balanced. Light mouthfeel with medium carbonation.

Clear gold white head some visible carbonation. Mild aroma of corn and bread. Corn and some pale malt sweetness. A light Helles. Was hoping for a bit more malt profile here but it is what it is.

500ml bottle. Pours very pale golden with a white head which dissipates quickly. Some lacing. The aroma is grassy hops, cereal and bread. The taste is clean, refreshing, slightly tart on the finish and a little more bitter than your typical German lager beer. Grows on you as you drink it.

0.5l bottle. Clear pale golden body with a lasting white head. Aroma of bread, hay and floral hops. Taste is what the aroma suggests with notes of bread, hay, biscuit and floral hops. I think it’s a bit more bitter than an average Oktoberfest beer. Balanced, crisp and clean. Simple, but I like it a lot.

Big frothy white head with good retention. Clear gold colour. Mostly malty aroma. Malty taste, grassy, slightly spicy (coriander, clove). Medium-low bitterness. Medium dry finish.

This grassy German beer is extremely drinkable and pleasantly malty, with hops present but hardly bitter. It reminds me somewhat of a simpler version of Pinkus Munster Alt, which ranks as one of my favorites. Don’t be afraid to try this one: America is taking beer to new plateaus, but the Germans are still sensei.

Cajun (431) - Lafayette, Louisiana, USA - OCT 18, 2016
UPDATED: OCT 18, 2016 Bottle - Pours a clear gold, with fizzy white head. Aroma of pale malts, refrigerated flowers, slight skunk, biscuit. Flavors of pale malts, fruity, floral, lemon, hay, cough drop/medicine taste, bitter hops middle, dry finish. This gave an overall impression of a Kolsch or Premium Lager rather than an Oktoberfest/Marzen.
