very pleasent scent of spices and fruit. taste is of spice and some yeast and fruit. finish is very smooth with a fruity spiciness that lasts. I would purchase this again. Very nice. IlanMan (1015) - Appleton, Wisconsin, USA - JUL 10, 2008
Pour is cloudy golden with a very fluffy white head. Aroma is quite potent with wheat, floral aromas, light orange, and spice. Flavors are full with floral and a medium but very smooth sweet orange peel. I got a lot of yeast in the flavor as well finishing with a wheat finish. Good brew. Would buy again. A long while ago I drank this bier in a Bavarian bar. Today it is still as great of a drink as I remembered it to be. When poured correctly it has one of the most perfectly proportionate heads as any bier i have seen. The bier it’s self has a slight banana undertone with a subtle citrus after taste. Light and milky, this bier is poster child for all Bavarian Weiss biers. Bigmmartin (603) - Dayton, Ohio, USA - JUL 7, 2008
UPDATED: MAY 26, 2009 Bottle thanks to Woodsman52. An awesome German Hefeweizen. Strong aroma of bread and yeast. Magnificent tangy citrus flavor of wheat, light hops, and yeast....with bit a of tart and extremely clean crisp finish. Refreshing and light. This is what I imagine a perfect German Hefeweizen to be.

Bottle thanks to Woodsman52. Hazy golden with a nice head depending on the way you pour this. Could be excessive or small depending on your expertise. Large bread yeast aroma. Slightly sweet with some short lived bitterness. Fizzy on the palate but smooth. Nice beer. GuilTTy (733) - Cherry Hill, New Jersey, USA - JUL 6, 2008
Bottle and on tap but I just finished a bottle so this review is based on a bottled sample. Consistently hazy glowing sunflower supporting a towering white head. Lots of lacing. Aroma of fresh bananas, yeast and newly cut grass. Mildly spicy but crisp banana flavor with cloves and a kiss of yeast. Rich texture and a full flavored brisk finish. Refreshing and versatile. Clearly worthy of its place as a world and style standard.

POured as cloudy yellow color with a nice whte head. Aroma is very wheaty. Flavor is much the same, not too much fruity tone mixed in. BelgiskOlklub (1082) - Viby J, DENMARK - JUL 3, 2008
Bottle, 50 cl. Huge rocky white head with excellent lacing. Cloudy dark yellow body. Malt aroma of grain and hay, light hop aroma, aroma of banana and bubble gum. Medium body, oily texture and lively carbonation. Moderate sweet and light bitter. mannika (140) - Boston, Massachusetts, USA - JUL 2, 2008
500mL bottle. Pours a nice cloudy golden colour with a nice frothy head. Nose is quite fruity, can pick up on strawberries, banana as well as a bit of a floral touch. Flavour is a bit sweet, but very clean. A bit of the banana again. Finish is quite nice, with a very slight bitter spiciness.
