COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our golden-yellow wheat beer, with its fine-pored white foam, smells of cloves and impresses consumers with its refreshing banana flavour. It is full bodied and with a smooth yeast taste. To be enjoyed at any time (always a pleasure / enjoyment), goes excellently with fish and seafood, with spicy cheese and especially with the traditional Bavarian veal sausage. Brewed according to our centuries-old brewing tradition on the Weihenstephan hill.

Poured a cloudy golden color with bountiful creamy head. The aroma was wonderful; started off with bananas when slightly colder and then revealed cloves and spices when it warmed up. The taste echoed the aroma. Got a nice spicy feel to it and felt very smooth on the palate. I could drink this all the time. Best wheat beer Ive had to date.

UPDATED: NOV 27, 2006 Bottle. Nice hefe. A spicey hefe, typical golden color with a decent head and some lacing. Citrus, banana, and (apparently from others) cloves. Ill have to remember the cloves as that brings more to mind than a very vague "citrus". Re-rated day after first sampling, color/cloudiness is back to normal now.

poured from bottle. Head thick and creamy (my wife said it looked like whipped cream). The beer looks great in the glass, hazy, pale and golden. The taste is quite good and the beer drinks very easily. Try it.

Draught. Pours cloudy yellow orange with very small white head. The aroma is banana, clove, and zest (surprise). The flavor is a bit on the spicy side, with quite a bit of clove and some other more faint spices. The finish is quite citrus-y. All in all, rather refreshing.

UPDATED: JAN 2, 2007 12 oz bottle via shigadeyo (thanks!). This pours a hazy golden color with a large white head. Nose is spicey with note of wheat, pears, pepper, banannas. Tastes just like it smells with some vanilla as well and of course a fizzy crisp wheat finish. Mostly pepper and banannas in the aftertaste.

Very good weissbier. The mix of bitterness and and a clear fruit taste was wellbalanced and it was also a nice thirst-killer.
