Large yeasty taste with strong hint of citrus. Aroma was fairly strong. Carbonation was a little more than I expected. Still a great beer...would much prefer the Ayinger Hefe beer though piscator34 (2539) - Winnipeg, Manitoba, CANADA - JUN 23, 2006
Gold and hazy in colour with strong carbonation. Typical hefeweizen aromas of vanilla, clove, banana, and a bit of citrus. Nice tangy wheat flavor, with more vanilla and banana in the mouth. A bit of spicy hops on the finish too. Very nice full mouthfeel that still refreshes. Definitely more on the vanilla/clove end of the spectrum, with the fruity notes being held in check. Classy. jetzler (622) - oklahoma city, Oklahoma, USA - JUN 23, 2006
Bottle 41F Weizen Glass. Big and citrusy with good notes of warm yeast, Nice and fruity but slighty spicy aroma. The appearance is cloudy dark gold, with a white and fluffy head that lasts for some time. Wonderful notes of orange citrus, and dry slightly bready notes similar to eating dry bisquits. Sweet, sour and almost no bitterness but a hint of copper, and maybe some celery. Very nice and refreshing. Nice sharp carbonation, with good moderate mouthfeel. Yet finishes so clean, a definite thirst quencher. A good be and maybe I like it better than Franziskaner hefe, It’s definately good, and easily drinkable. Es ist gut bier. badnewsbeers (2312) - Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA - JUN 20, 2006
yellowish orange pour with medium white head...aroma of banana, malts, stone, and yeast..flavor is quite similar, and is heavy in citrus...it finishes with some funky mineral/sediment aftertaste...nice palate Hunsell (403) - Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - JUN 20, 2006
Cloudy orange with small white head. Typical Weizenaroma of banana and lots of german malts. Pretty sweet for a weizen, not too banana-ish. Fairly wellbodied. A classic and very suitable on warmer days, but not to be ignored n the cold ones as well..

Poured with a white head with very large bubbles. I could smell the bananas and clove aroma and also taste it, but wheats just must not be my favorite. This is suppose to be one of the best german wheats and i was not all that impressed. Oycpff (93) - USA - JUN 18, 2006
Bottle - Pours a hazy medium golden/orange, huge creamy white head that mostly lasts, leaves good lacing. Aroma is dominated with banana and clove, with a hint of hops in the back. Flavor was very crip and dominated by clove notes HenrikSoegaard (14235) - Randers, DENMARK - JUN 14, 2006
