COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our golden-yellow wheat beer, with its fine-pored white foam, smells of cloves and impresses consumers with its refreshing banana flavour. It is full bodied and with a smooth yeast taste. To be enjoyed at any time (always a pleasure / enjoyment), goes excellently with fish and seafood, with spicy cheese and especially with the traditional Bavarian veal sausage. Brewed according to our centuries-old brewing tradition on the Weihenstephan hill.

A beer that Ive claimed over the past few years as one of my top ten favorites, tonights beer is the Weihenstephaner Hefe Weissbier. Brewed in Bavaria, Germany, Weihenstephans label states that its the oldest brewery in the world. Records date back to the year 768 with documents mentioning a hop garden, but the brewery was officially licensed in 1040. The 17oz bottle pours at a clear burnt-amber color, with a nice thick ivory white foam on top. The foam lingers for several minutes, and leaves behind a mild lacing as it recedes. The aromas are bright and distinct, with plenty of lemon, orange peel, banana, and spices. I absolutely love the aromas on this little Hefeweiss! On the palate, the Weihenstephaner is flavorful and complex, yet so incredible easy to drink! The citrus and banana is right up front in my mouth, but not far behind is the spice and just a touch of alcohol. This is an absolutely delicious brew that I highly recommend for anyone who ever considered those mediocre mass-produced imitations.

Hazy golden yellow with rather large white head. Great Hefeweizen aroma of banana, yeast, and spice. Taste is full of banana, bread, and clove. High carbonation and medium body.

12. 1. 2017, Gas Station, Ljubljana. Bottled. The measuring stick of Heffeweizen style as they call it. Proper in all aspects but IMHO lacks a punch and delivery to be extraordinary. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at Damin. Great weissbier! Both aroma and appearance fit perfectly the style with yeast playing the key role. Sweet taste. Almost zero bitterness. Love it.

500 ml bottle. Hazy golden in the glass, thick white head. Aroma of esters, sweet banana, wheat grain, sweet bread. Taste is rather sweet, low bitterness. Flavors of sweetish esters, banana, a touch of clove, and some smooth wheat. Abrupt banana wheat finish. Medium to full, pretty smooth texture, high carbonation.

Rather sweet aroma of banana with notes of wheaty fullness. Cloudy golden in the glass with beautiful rocky head. Unpronounced taste of banana, some wheat maltiness and hints of bread. Highly drinkable and refreshing, but Ive expected more.

Orange opaque hazy body with 1 finger white head. Banana banana banana everywhere some bread notes. Taste is clove some caramelised bread, hint of sweetness still with the banana balanced with the sourness of the wheat Medium high body, lively carbonation That is pretty good and refreshing despite the body.

Bottle. Cloudy golden beer, large creamy white head, slowly diminishing, decent lacing. Beautiful aroma of cloves, banana, citrus and some spices. Taste is light to medium sweet: banana, clove, a bit of bread and spices, with light citrus tartness in the finish. Light to medium body, lively carbonation. Rather thin, but smooth. Very refreshing, well balanced, with pleasant citrus notes (stronger than in average hefeweizen) - top of the style.
