Very tight, creamy white head stayed impeccably on a hazy light reddish brown, finely carbonated body.
Zesty aroma with banana, yeast & spices.
Medium bodied, highly carbonated on the palate & claggy back.
Malt, spices, rum, banana, yeast & caramel tastes with nice tangy finish. DonGregorio (664) - POLAND - MAR 8, 2018
Bottle. Hazy dark amber / copper colour, large, creamy, off-white head. Aroma of wheat, spice, clove, banana, light bread and lemon. Taste is light to medium sweet, very light tart, wheat, clove, banana, citrus, lemon, light bread, some dark fruit, plum. Bittersweet banana and spice in the finish. Light to medium body, average to lively carbonation. Very solid and drinkable dunkelweizen. GreenCat (241) - SLOVENIA - MAR 4, 2018
0,5 l bottle. Pours hazy dark amber with big lasting off white head. Aroma of wheat, yeast, some caramel, spices and fruit. Taste is light to medium sweet, light bitter and slightly sour. Body is on the light side, texture slick and carbonation lively. Finish is quite short, fruity with some light spicy bitterness. Refreshing and drinkable. Blastomorpha (193) - - MAR 2, 2018
Pours dark amber with three fingers thick compact creamy head. Lots of tiny bubbles going up from the bottom of the glass.
Classic aroma of overripen banana and cloves, but I get strong leather notes too.
Taste is less sweet than the clear Hefeweissbier, still I get the obvious banana, dark malts and a burnt caramel finish. Some tickling alcoholic notes on the tongue.
The high carbonation gives the beer a full body and a really satisfying mouthfeel. Very drinkable.
Not as good as the Hefeweissbier, but still very nice. paulvanpelt (697) - Reusel, NETHERLANDS - MAR 2, 2018
UPDATED: MAR 2, 2018 Bruinoranje, troebel bier met crèmekleurige schuimkraag. Typisch tarwebier, weeig zoet, sinaasappel en mout. Een beetje melig in de mond. Mwah.

I love the standard Weihenstephaner but though I like this, it isn't what I'm looking for in a dunkel. The texture is thick but has a sickly finish and I find the overly sweet banana taste to not go as well with the rest of the flavours as it does with the weissbier.
I'm not usually bothered with appearance but I like my dunkels to look dark and the orange colour isn't very appealing. It's worth trying but not one I would recommend to anyone if I was trying to get a friend into dunkels. bilcho1 (282) - Ruse, BULGARIA - FEB 21, 2018
500ml bottle from Metro, drunk at home. Pours thickly cloudy with a long-lasting foamy head, heavy lacing but no visible bead. Dirty orange in colour, hardly a dunkel. Intense aromas of banana, cloves and bubblegum. Smoothy and syrupy in the mouth with fine carbonation, releasing banana, clove and cereal flavours, some sweetness and a soft bitter finish. Overall, an almost perfect weizen that I will happily forgive for not being very dunkel. Luneylane (295) - Taipei City, TAIWAN - FEB 15, 2018
A surprise find at l'Apero, the Belgian beer outlet near Nanjing Fuxing. Aroma: malty. Appearance: hazy oxtail soup, tan lacing. Palate: medium-bodied and slick, soft carbonation, complex, flavoursome finish. Taste: medium-sweet and bitter, well balanced, banana, malt. Very refreshing. hershiser2 (3974) - Charlottesville, Virginia, USA - FEB 13, 2018
$3.99 bottle, Rio Hill Wine. Pours murky amber with a giant beige head. Aroma is slightly sweet: banana, dark fruit, wheat. Flavor is banana, bread, dark fruit, light metallic notes, wheat, bitter strawberry without being actual strawberry.
