COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our dark wheat beer is impressive with its creamy white foam. A fruity-fresh sweetness and hints of mature bananas harmonise with delicious flavours of roasted malt, sparkling and full-bodied with a light caramel taste on the first sip. An excellent accompaniment from hearty meals and game to chocolate and nut desserts. Brewed according to our centuries-old brewing tradition on the Weihenstephan hill.

UPDATED: NOV 18, 2012 Sweet, mellow aroma evocative of banana cake, chocolate, clove, caramel, spices, and grain. Very nice. Mild, sweet taste with tart and bitter undertones. Sweet aftertaste of clove, fruit cake, and a bit of cinnamon powder. Medium palate with lively carbonation. Loved it.

On tap at a spatzle restaurant Berlin. A nice gluggable dunkel that perfectly matches heavy German food. All the flavours but avoiding heaviness. Decent.

Great brown color. No head. The aroma is strong and you can feel the wheat. Aftertaste goes away very fast.

Schöner Schaum, braune Bierfarbe. Geruch nach sehr reifen Bananen, etwas Toffee. Sehr schöne Rezens, cremiges Mundgefühl. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from Good Spirits Co. Wine & Beer, Glasgow. Beer served in 10°C, Tulip Glass. Pours bright brown, nice head. Aroma is banana, lemon, cloves, sweet, caramel notes are noticeable after warming up. Taste is sweet, velvety, mild roasted hints, slightly bitter, easy drinkable. Medium body. It was been perfect for the meal with a thick sausage.

Not too keen on this one. Expected much much more. Taste a bit medicinal and has a citrusy/lemon finish that I did not care for ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
