Our dark wheat beer is impressive with its creamy white foam. A fruity-fresh sweetness and hints of mature bananas harmonise with delicious flavours of roasted malt, sparkling and full-bodied with a light caramel taste on the first sip. An excellent accompaniment from hearty meals and game to chocolate and nut desserts. Brewed according to our centuries-old brewing tradition on the Weihenstephan hill.

Bottle- Pours cloudy and deep brown with a huge, effervescent white head. On the nose is toffee, cherry, dark fruit, brown sugar, bubblegum, red licorice, and banana. Taste-wise we have caramel fudge, plum, raisin, oak, dark chocolate, vanilla, lemon, bubblegum, spice, and tropical fruit esters. Mouth feel is thick and creamy with high carbonation. Finish is dry and earthy leaving tobacco, citrus, bubblegum and pineapple. Nice balance between malty caramel and fruity/yeasty flavours. Really liked it!

On tap at Weihenstephen Freising. Hazy brown gold lasting beige head. Like drinking liquid chocolate bananas. Toffee and herby finish. Outstanding. Good length. Finish just goes on and on.

Bottle in Seattle. Soft, tall cream. Gorgeous rosy brown body. Clean, juicy hefe aroma. Lightly spiced body, creamy and sweet hefe with mild banana esters. Cool, sweet, round flavor. Delicious raisins, banana bread, autumnal spice in a way. Nice example of a dunkelweizen, great.

500 ml bottle. Pours a hazy light brown with a beige head. The aroma is mildly yeasty and reminds of banana along with some very light sourish notes. Medium body with low carbonation. The taste is lightly sweet with nearly no bitterness and a very, very light sourness. Flavor of lightly roasted malt, light caramel, clove beside some fresh fruity notes (banana, pear, cherries). Overall very well balanced and rather fresh.
