Our dark wheat beer is impressive with its creamy white foam. A fruity-fresh sweetness and hints of mature bananas harmonise with delicious flavours of roasted malt, sparkling and full-bodied with a light caramel taste on the first sip. An excellent accompaniment from hearty meals and game to chocolate and nut desserts. Brewed according to our centuries-old brewing tradition on the Weihenstephan hill.

Bottle. Cloudy amber with a fluffy white head. Nose of bananas and clove, but with more malt and wheat. Bubbly mouthfeel. Sweet flavors of banana are blended nicely with the wheat, bread, and yeast tastes.

50 cL bottle. Pours hazy deep orange with a slowly collapsing off white head. Mild roasted malt to a light wheaty and banana fruity aroma. Banana fruity flavour with a mild malty flavour. Ends light acidic to estery.

A light brown unclear beer with a fantastic head. The aroma is wheaty and slightly sweet. The flavor is a nice lowkey wheat flavor. It is pretty sweet with no bitterness - just wheat in the aftertaste. A little thin. An OK dunkel hefeweissebier - but not the best I've had.

Warning! Early amateur rating! Bottle in Krakov. Unusual nose, malty bread and fish! Smooth bready beer, not sweet or fruity. Hints of malty chocolate. Inoffensive and easy drinking.

Papsoe (25056) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - OCT 10, 2005
(Bottle 50 cl) Murky brownish with a huge head that simply refuses to settle. Soft, malty and aromatic with a wee touch of hops. Surprisingly low carbonation. 110102
