This is an ok beer. Nice aroma that first reminded me of bananas and then later cloves. Light yeasty taste. troyc (2869) - Illinois, USA - JUL 3, 2007
(Bottle) Pours a hazy yellow/light amber color with a silky white head and great amount of hefe. Aroma of yeast, wheat, and slight citrus. Taste includes some clove as well. Full mouthfeel, with lively carbonation. A classic example of an excellent hefeweizen. cpn920 (1) - New York, USA - JUL 1, 2007 does not count
absolutely my favorite Hefe. Light and refreshing with a doughy and clover taste. I could drink these all day in the summer. awaisanen (1310) - Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, USA - JUN 29, 2007
From a 500mL Bottle. A hazy tower of golden honey fills my weizen glass, transitioning nicely from a pale pear skin color at the bottom to a richer blood orange fog at the top. Two fingers of soapy white foam rests calmly on top, attractively, but a taller, rockier head would make it even better. Aroma of creamy banana yeast phenolics; very light and milky with an almost vanilla ice-cream like bread pudding character. Not much in the way of spice aromatics, but it doesn’t need it; simple, elegant, and clean. A hint of lemon acidity adds a refreshing element to the bouquet. Light bodied, spritzy carbonation that explodes on the palate in a burst of sizzling bubbles. There’s a bit more yeasty spice in the flavor than found in the aroma; less banana and more white pepper and restrained clove. The mild spiciness melds nicely with the spritzy carbonation, creating a flavorful level of refreshment. Some semi-tart, dry wheat characters linger a moment after the flurry of bubbles clears, and then gives way to a finish of mild yeasty spice. A well-deserved classic; nothing extravagent, but refined all the same. ARMed (625) - Garnet Valley, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 29, 2007
Very appealing hefe that reminds me of Munich! Great flavor and excellent appearance. The lacing is dominant and the aroma has the nice wheat citrus flavor. Fanastic body with this beer that make it an excellent accompnayment to food and fun. It is exceptional summer beer for a hot afternoon near a pool.

A classic german hefeweizen. I became addicted to this traditional brew in Munich and have been hooked ever since. The beer pours with a solid head. Body is cloudy. Taste is smooth, spicy and consistent throughout with hints of banana/fruits. Very smooth finish. Mike4686 (120) - Bayonne, New Jersey, USA - JUN 19, 2007
this is without a doubt one of the best beers i’ve had. on tap at the nurnburger bierhaus, cloudy yellow golden in appearance, medium head, not overly sweet, definately my fav hefe. jcr (2779) - Jasper, Indiana, USA - JUN 18, 2007
UPDATED: JUL 15, 2011 Dark, hazy yellow. with rust colored hues from the yeast. Huge, white, frothy and lasting head. Big aroma of banana and clove, bread, nuts and wheat. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lighty to moderately sweet, lightly to moderately bitter and lightly to moderately tart. Medium body, creamy texture, lively carbonation. Tastesof clove and banana. Nice moderattion between sweetness in one sip and tartness in another. I’ve had this beer dozens of times and it has never failed to impress me. Thirst-quenching, easy drinking with lots of flavor. World class hefe. Gethinbeer (2452) - Nova Scotia, CANADA - JUN 18, 2007
Aroma of spice, fruit and wheat. Yellow orange in colour with a thin white head. Typical spice flavour with herbs and a rich fruity texture. Tangy finish. gmcase (115) - Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 15, 2007
Pours nice slightly cloudy golden color out of the bottle. Banana clove and is that peach? Probably not, but it is good. better than a lot of hefe’s. Even though i’m in a big ipa phase I would revisit this baby.
