COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our golden-yellow wheat beer, with its fine-pored white foam, smells of cloves and impresses consumers with its refreshing banana flavour. It is full bodied and with a smooth yeast taste. To be enjoyed at any time (always a pleasure / enjoyment), goes excellently with fish and seafood, with spicy cheese and especially with the traditional Bavarian veal sausage. Brewed according to our centuries-old brewing tradition on the Weihenstephan hill.

Poster child for the true Bavarian-style hefeweisen: the appearance is unfiltered gold; the nose is true to the style; the taste is yeasty and develops the banana and spice attributes that one associates with a good hefe, but it does not overwhelm the senses. Very smooth finish. Most enjoyable.

Cloudy and fruity (banana) in nature. Some spicy hoppiness is here. I would rather drink Ayinger.

UPDATED: JUN 11, 2004 On tap. Hazy orange color. Big yeast, bubble gum and banana aroma. Full wheat flavor, more bubble gum, sweet but pleasant. Smooth, refreshing summer beer, especially when compared to some of the american wheats I've encountered lately. Rerate: Upped the score just a bit; lots of peppery spice in the aroma as well. This is a full bodied hefeweizen, lots of bubble gum, chewy. Dryish finish, soothing. Excellent.

When poured into my glass, there was a large white foamy head with small bubbles. The lacing was fair on the sides of my glass. It had an aroma of clove, banana and a light malty aroma as well. The body was yellow in hue. The flavor was smooth from start to finish. This was an enjoyable brew to drink on a warm summer day.

This brew pours a very large head of finely sized bubbles and a cloudy light yellow brown body. It has a nice wheat beer aroma not stoo strong though. Its flavor starts off with mild fruity banana lemon and yeast notes then mellows into a lingering soft mouthfeel. It is on the thick side which adds to the smooth mouthfeel. It is an easy brew to drink and is one that you could easily enjoy in a beer tent at the Oktoberfest! Prosit!

Solid looking hefe, super cloudy, hazy, yeast filled golden straw color. One super large fluffy off-white head nearly three inches tall, fades and pops slowly to leave a fine thin head with some stringy sticking lace. Smell is a nice light and airy, fluffy lemon with a nice grainy wheat bread background and notes of banana and spice. Taste is one refreshing, rock solid hefe, with a perfect balance of lemon, not to tart, good breadish tone, wheaty, yeasty, but all very mellowing and smooth. Notes of banana linger and some spice of cloves. Feel is pretty full from sip to swallow, very mellow, has a textured feel in the middle, moderate tartness and a very clean finish. Which makes it incredibly drinkable, no doubt about it.

Out of the bottle. Asuper cloudy body with a beautiful pillowy head that rose a full inch above the glass. A nose of cloves and bananas along with a slight hint of citrus. Taste of pure liquid refreshment. As fine a Hefeweizen as I have ever had.

(o,5 ltr bottle) Many thanks to my loving wife for lugging this beer (among others) in her backpack while returning from Bonn. Beautiful, cloudy, orange-amber body and a huge, white, foamy head. Nice yeasty-banana, citrus nose. The taste is rare to find replicated in North American weissbier - light, smooth, fizzles on your tongue then tickles the epiglottis. Whimsical. Fun and refreshing. Delectable hints of bitterness in the finish. Lovingly German…

Huge head and nice lacing. Good cloudy and orange/pale yellow appearance. Aroma is slight fruit/banana and light citrus and spice. Not as yeasty as the description would lead you to believe, but yeast in this one is good. Great hefeweiss for sure, but I may need to go on another wheat binge to see. This one had all the good flavors a german wheat should have, maybe a bit more watery than most.

UPDATED: JUN 7, 2003 #300 Light yellow and hazy, aroma consists of fruits and flowers.Light and refreshing a Summer beer except that it has been extremely cool and wet here so far where I live, a great year for strawberries and maple seeds. Wheat and malty it is clear and crisp, This beer is recommended.
