COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our golden-yellow wheat beer, with its fine-pored white foam, smells of cloves and impresses consumers with its refreshing banana flavour. It is full bodied and with a smooth yeast taste. To be enjoyed at any time (always a pleasure / enjoyment), goes excellently with fish and seafood, with spicy cheese and especially with the traditional Bavarian veal sausage. Brewed according to our centuries-old brewing tradition on the Weihenstephan hill.

Sweet fruity (mostly pineapple) aroma, very thick head. Light bodied and sweet flavor. I'm not normally a fan of the style but this actually wasn't too bad.

UPDATED: MAR 1, 2003 A delightful german wheat beer. I am most proud of myself becuase i drank this at the recomended room temperature. It was everything i thought it could be and more. I truly love enjoying a pint of german wheat with macgyver. Doesn't serve much else of a purpose beyond that though.

UPDATED: JUL 25, 2004 Pours cloudy yellow, nice thick foamy head, leaves a clingy lace in the glass, aroma of wheat and bananas, banana-clove yeasty flavor. Light body, clean and crisp, very refreshing one of my favorites, always good.

Very hazy yellow. Fluffy head and moderate lace. Sweet nose of wheat, malt, vanilla and bananas. Soft, thin body, with most of the flavor residing in the middle to end. Flavors of banana, vanilla, wheat and yeast dominate. Completly non-offensive and easy to drink with tons of flavor. Quite the quaffer and a top 5 wheat in my book.

Not as tangy as some hefes, which in my opinion is a shame. In all other respects one of the good ones.

It has a nice foam with a pleasant colour. The aroma is quite fresh, slightly citrusy. It is well-balanced and generous.

Very full and thick head. Aroma was a little sweet with a hint of ginger. Wide on the palate which I like, medium-light bodied, probably more light. The ginger came through in the flavor also. Overall sweet. Finished very quickly with almost no aftertaste. One word... Refreshing.

Not as much ester flavor in the taste profile here as in a Schneider Weiss, but it does lurk under the wheaty-maltiness. Not much bitterness at all. I would drink this again as it isn't too expensive and it's a pretty good hefe

Re-Rate 04/28/02: Chill hazed light amber, gold if your into that, enormous white head, lace in sheets that clings to the glass. Nose is yeasty, sweet, malt tones, citrus, 'Perfumy'. Lightly sweet in the front, top light, finish is lightly carbonated, dry, fair hop presence, a 'Crystal Clean' taste, slightly citrus. As much as I rant against lagers/pils, the beers from this brewery, are exquisite, and well worth the 'Hunt'!
