4 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Ruddy brown pour with a dark red hue around the edges of the glass. Thick head that is very similiar in appearance to a latte or cappucino. Awesome aroma of candied pecans like the ones my mom makes around Christmas. Medium body and an unfortunately thin watery palate. Flavor is like an overly malty nut borwn ale with a bitter and smoky finish that lasts for a while. If this were fuller bodied it would be hard to beat.
Bottle @ Hopaholic. Pours deep mahogany with thick but quickly disappearing head. Nose is grainy and boozy with honey and fuits in it. Taste is quite similar, maybe a bit less complex and a tad too sweet. Closes with long lasting sweet finish, has average carbo and medium to heavy body. Nice one. biilz (162) - SPAIN - OCT 10, 2017
DialSquare (5123) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - OCT 8, 2017

From a 50 cl bottle. Pours a clear mahogany with an off white head. Aroma of toffee and figs. Moderately sweet with some bitter roast to the finish. Scipio (1185) - Palatine, Illinois, USA - OCT 1, 2017
Pours a deep brown with a full, lingering beige head. The aroma consists of heavy raisin and caramel, some bread, licorice, plum, and some light earthiness as well. This one is sweet, but its an easy sweet. Subtly bitter, its very dry which snuck up on me as I was drinking this. The main flavors are plum, raisin, and caramel. Strong nuttiness is found, along with fig and bread, and minor chocolate. Nutty raisin finish, Medium to full in body and chewy in texture. Solid, complex, and well balanced overall, this one should be easy for most to enjoy.

Ładnie się prezentuje kolor ciemny, lekko beżowa piana. W aromacie lekkie nuty palone, podobnie w smaku, w którym obok nut palonych mamy posmak chleba, karmelu. Całość dość wytrawna higgsbison (261) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - SEP 22, 2017
Beautiful deep red pour with huge creamy tan head. Sweet and malty. Very drinkable. An excellent beer but not quite robust enough for me. Definitely not lacking in character but I wanted more complexity and a bit more bitterness. Wife loved it

Pint from tap at Peters (Valladolid). Full-bodied, dark, malty German beer. Slightly fruity and caramelised. Demens (479) - Budapest, HUNGARY - SEP 8, 2017
0,5l bottle. Cloudy dark brown colour with medium lasting then disappearing tan head. Aroma: Roasted toast and caramel. Taste: Full, sweet malty start with lots of roasty tones and with a softly bitter mouthfeel. Has a slightly silky texture. Medium body with medium carbonation. Short sweet finish. A good and drinkable doppelbock, not too sweet neither too bitter, just good. Bootlegger007 (245) - AUSTRALIA - AUG 21, 2017
