In our golden-yellow crystal-clear wheat beer the fresh citrus flavour harmonises very well with spicy banana notes. The fine sparkling gives it a tangy and animated appearance. Throughout summer and winter, it’s a prickling experience. It goes well with fish, seafood, white meat or it can be enjoyed as an aperitif. Brewed according to our centuries-old brewing tradition on the Weihenstephan hill.

500cl - Aroma of a sweet yeasty pastry, Euro hops and a touch of lemon. Pours transparent light yellow, tons of cascading bubbles, a huge fluffy head and great lacing. Flavor matches aroma, a bit milder. Palate is smooth and creamy. Pretty tasty although I perfer the fuller flavored hefe.

Really heavilly carbonated - fizzed all over the table. Very pale golden hue, very clear. Strong smell of bread filled the room when the bottle was opened. Pours with a nice big head - strong lacing. On tasting - sweet malt with a hint of bubble gum. Light with not much body, but a good flavour of freshly baked French bread. Has a metalic flavour in the after taste, that gives way to a nice maltyness. It lacks the creamy texture of the hefe, but I would have another one.

[bottle] Beautiful clear golden yellow color, with a fluffy white head. Fruity aroma of melons, banana and tangy wheat. Flavors are sweet and fruity, almost wit-like, in a way. Astringency from the wheat seems to be greatly reduced due to the filtration, which makes this brew very drinkable, in my opinion. Perfect for sessions.

Bottle from Santa: Pours a very bright yellow color with a pretty large white head. Smell is very sweet. I smell something that resembles something like a banana, but much sweeter, maybe some candi sugars. Taste is similar, banana flavored. I don’t taste a lot here, but this is decent.

Light gold color, white fluffy head. Has an aroma that is kind of grassy and sweet. The taste is hoppy and of cinnamon. The aftertaste is sweet and caramel. This is a very tasty beer. The aftertaste doesn’t last long, and is not alcoholic at all.

TURDFERGUSON (4058) - Durham, North Carolina, USA - JAN 7, 2007
Bottle from Sam’s. Pours golden orange with gangantuan marshmallow white head. Beauty. Banana, grainy malts, sweetness on nose. Flavor is similar with a little bit of lemon and lime in there with the banana, wheat, and hop notes. I think this would be great with some hot wings. Its pretty darn good by itself.

Not a huge fan of this one, a little too pilsner tasting for my tastes. But it does live up to it,s name, you can see clear through it and it resimbles a beer colored champagne. Head was MASSIVE, i can’t express this enough, very champagne like.

UPDATED: JAN 14, 2007 12 oz bottle via Secret Santa (thanks Lou18!). This one pours a cystal clear golden blonde with a huge dense white head. Nose is wheat, bananna, vanilla. Taste is the same with some added fruitiness, some strawberry, canelop, and a tiny dash of ginger. Wonderful sweet finish. Not cloying. Perfectly balanced. moderate carbonation. Medium body. Best wheat beer i have had. Do not care for this style normally but this is world class!

Pours golden from the bottle with a good head. Smell & taste of coriander. Light, tastefull & refreshing. Good brew.

thebaldwizard (1207) - Ohio, USA - NOV 30, 2006
Aroma of lemon zest and coriander. See through golden color with a forthy white head. Lively carbonation in this one. Light fruit flavors--apples and bananas are mixed with spices. Very wit-bier like.
