In our golden-yellow crystal-clear wheat beer the fresh citrus flavour harmonises very well with spicy banana notes. The fine sparkling gives it a tangy and animated appearance. Throughout summer and winter, its a prickling experience. It goes well with fish, seafood, white meat or it can be enjoyed as an aperitif. Brewed according to our centuries-old brewing tradition on the Weihenstephan hill.

500ml bottle. Incredibly clear yellow with a big foamy white head. Wheaty nose, light banana, lemon and clove. Fairly light bodied, a very easy drinker. Flavor is everything from the nose, plus a touch more spice (coriander?) Really pleasant, I liked this very much!

A great beer for summer, lots of carbonation, takes a minute to settle, nice warming spiciness to it. Abit of sweetness to it, very easy drinking! nice brew!

From 500mL. Pours a crystal clear dark yellow with tight foamy white head. Nose is banana, lemon and light wheat. Flavor follows with a crisp finish. A very enjoyable and drinkable beer.

500ml. Pours bright gold with sparkling carb, and a big frothy bright-white head. Sweet and sour nose--grassy, and apple-tart/acidic. Nice mild grass and spice palate leavened with a bit of cleansing tart. Great, clean, drinkable stuff. Seems quite subdued compared to what we think of in wheat beers out here, but I suppose thats just that Continental refinement showing.

Bottle (500ml). Very pale yellow, champagne-bubbly, huge foamy lasting white head - its a summer day and that looks like fun to drink right now. Smells a lot like a mild belgian wit - banana, candy malt, yeast and soft mild spices in plentiful supply. Wonderful light fruity taste, spicy, much softer and milder than a wit - incredible summer session drink. Light of body, soft, sweet mouthfeel, very light carbonation, light on the palate and quick finishing - very, very pleasant.

16.9 oz bottle. Clear pale yellow with a big, white foamy head. Green tints. Sweet wheat, lemon pepper and pumpkin pie. Classic. Predominantly banana with sourdough bread. Tight, tangy carb provides a nice zip and lightens the medium body. Good, but I prefer the regular.

Big pillowy head. Clear golden color. Light wheat flavor with slight hints of banana with wheat/straw like aroma. Slighty sweet with a slight sharpness. Smooth finish and mouthfeel. Fizzy on the carbonation. Overall very good. Light and refreshing.

Sparkling clear body w. loads of visibible carbonation. Big fluffy white head. Nose is wheaty & yeasty, some noticable sweet malt, oranges & clove. Flavor is light clove, yeast, lemon, orange, wheat, light toasted malt. A bit sweeter than I expected.

UPDATED: OCT 20, 2009 Bottle. This pours very light and clear yellow. The only thing that is visually appealing is the large, aggressive white head. The aroma is very, very bready. It smells like dinner rolls with a hint of banana. There is thin banana in the body with a taste of crackers. The finish lingers on the sweet, yeasty notes and is quite crisp and clean. The body is very active in the mouth, sparkling quite intensely. Theres a dry mineral water feel about this. This is not bad, but man, its so thin. I would probably only want to drink this with a meal or something else to entertain my palate.

Bottle. I felt like I should revisit this one as its been so long since Ive had a kristall weizen at all. Well, this is pretty much exactly how I remember. It is light gold with lots of carbonation and a flavor that is remarkably similar to their hefeweizen, just watered down. Imagine taking their hefe and cutting it with seltzer water. This is pretty much that.
