COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
In our golden-yellow crystal-clear wheat beer the fresh citrus flavour harmonises very well with spicy banana notes. The fine sparkling gives it a tangy and animated appearance. Throughout summer and winter, it’s a prickling experience. It goes well with fish, seafood, white meat or it can be enjoyed as an aperitif. Brewed according to our centuries-old brewing tradition on the Weihenstephan hill.

Crisp, sweet, fruity nose with strong banana notes, as well as clove, orange, and grain. My impression of it was definitely not that of a toned-down W.H.Wb. Sharp, fruity taste—perhaps a bit tangier than that of its non-filtered sibling. Medium, oily mouthfeel with soothing carbonation that doesn’t get in the way.

16.9floz bottle, no clear freshness date, $3.50 paid. Smell is a bit skunky, but otherwise like leaves and twigs. Very pale yellow in color with some streaming bubbles rush to support a good size head. The palate is light bodied, well carbonated, minerally with light touches of bubblegum, nutmeg, and banana peel. Pretty good, I like that it is cleaner and not as strong in flavor as a hefeweizen. I'd explore this style more if brewers would brew such instead of unleashing a zombie army of goses.

Nice beer. I sometimes dont see the point in Kristallweizen's but this is such a good beer and is markedly different from Weihenstephaner Hefeweissbier that its intriguing. Nice banana and light spice notes, bright citrus, light grainy and bready malts, a pinch of bitterness on the finish. Classic german profile without the normal hefe body and profile. Nice beer overall

2 x geproefd. laatste keer mei 2016 fles 50 cl van Schotte. Beetje wazig goudblond bijna oranje bier, met royale witte kraag. Aroma: gist, banaan, mout. Medium body. Smaak: granig, gist, zoetje, kruidig, banaan, mini bitterheid. Toch smaakvol in zijn genre.
