COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
In our golden-yellow crystal-clear wheat beer the fresh citrus flavour harmonises very well with spicy banana notes. The fine sparkling gives it a tangy and animated appearance. Throughout summer and winter, it’s a prickling experience. It goes well with fish, seafood, white meat or it can be enjoyed as an aperitif. Brewed according to our centuries-old brewing tradition on the Weihenstephan hill.

Thick white head. Many many bubbles in this one. The color is a pale yellow. Great banana, bread, clove aroma/flavor. Much more substance in this beer than others this light. Crisp, light, bubbly feel that quinched my thirst perfectly. Very sweet and satisfying.

Good tall froth filled a large stein. Char-grain wheat aroma. Peppery, without a whole lot of esters. Drinkable, but not very impressive.

A good German Wheat but not as good as I thought it would be. Not as clovey, or fruity enough for me. Very refreshing however.

A very nice beer but not as complex as the unfiltered version. Aroma was well-focused with dominating notes of clove and just a hint at banana. Flavor was very well balanced, with enough malt sweetness, clove spiciness, and dry finish to make this very nice. Bright light gold color with large thick head.

Smells sharp and bitter. Light golden color, ample head. Tangy, fizzy and satisfying aftertaste.

So the North Peak Brewery in Traverse City, Mich, has an amazing menu, great atmosphere, and - sub par beer. Their wheat disappointed me yesterday so I asked if they had any bottled weiss and this is what I recieved. The NP wheat is an estery mess - this one, by stark contrast, is crisp, light, and subtle with its esters, adding a little citrus spritz for balance. A far better choice for a sunny porch lunch.

Whew! What is that mustyness in the aroma...is it crystal malt and is that why this is called what it is? Pardon my ignorance. Wonderful subtle malt flavors, a little hop tinges. Good beer.

Golden straw color; Head was medium; Juicy fruit aroma. Much less annoying then most other 'kristal'. Tiny bit of sweetness. Quenching.

Slightly flat wheat beer, with more bitterness than citrus flavours. Average beer.
