This is my second Weihenstephaner beer. Second beer is like the first in the sense that the aroma and taste are intense and unique. Put aside the commercial description. It tastes to me like der Biermeister took a wheat beer, went over to his cast iron skillet of wurst and sauerkraut drippings, poured in a teaspoon per liter, then filtered into the bottle before capping and resting. Really. Perfect accompaniment for a wurst-based meal. But even before the first flame lit on the stove top, I could smell and taste the wurst and kraut. thejackpacker (764) - East Sussex, ENGLAND - JUL 29, 2017
Bottle from beer supermarket near Hamburg. I was quite ignorant of the difernece between kristall and hefeweizen but this beer helped me understand the difference. I much prefer the unfiltered version. The alcohol is a bit blunter here and the finish less smooth. Fine but ive me a hefe anyday. Maits (615) - ESTONIA - JUL 21, 2017

28-06-17 // 500ml bottle. Clear golden beer with a great white head. Taste is crystal clear, mild greany, light banana, some citrus flavours. Well carbonated. drmet (1063) - GERMANY - JUL 12, 2017
-pours a clear straw golden with a medium to big, foamy, white head
-medium to high carbonation visible
-light to medium body
A pretty big downgrade from their Hefeweizen.
The finish is really weird.Up until then it’s decent.
The Kristallweizen from Paulaner, Franziskaner or Maisel are superior to this.

Really good looking beer. Nice to have a crystal clear beer with nice carbonation and frothy head. Typical wheat beer taste with malty banana yeasts. I think I like this a little better than the regular hefe weissbier

Bottle. Clear golden ale with tall frothy head. The aroma is rich banana, spicy yeast & grains. Medium body. Average carbo. Light sweet banana flavour. Spicy yeast along. Floral hops on the edge of recognition. A nice example of the style. gripweed57 (3042) - Hamilton Square, New Jersey, USA - JUN 22, 2017
500 ml bottle. Brilliant brassy gold color. Medium sized creamy white head. Wheat malt nose has notes of sweet banana, cloves and Monkberry moon delight. Sweet wheat malt flavor is tangy and yeasty with lemony notes. Quite good and very Bavarian. MrGrigg182 (497) - Tambov, RUSSIA - JUN 8, 2017

Our first Kristallweizen and it’s a good one! It pours a classic crystal clear yellow with a thin medium head, the aroma is a strong banana wheat tornado and the taste follows close in line. It lives up to the rep as a filtered clear hefeweizen, but it doesn’t lose too much flavor (as apparently is a problem with many others of this type). If you wanna try a Kristallweizen, get this one! Super weird that its evidently from the oldest brewery ever circa 1040? Good for listening to the Best Show in the kitchen while digesting some ’za and watching the dishes get washed behind a black door with your boo boo.
