COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A good beer takes its time. The long storage makes our yellow bright lager, Original, a flavourful beer enjoyed with fine pored, white foam. With a mild hoppy note and its pleasant fresh spicy taste, it goes very well with salads, poultry, stews or with a hearty snack. Brewed according to our centuries-old brewing tradition on the Weihenstephan hill.

weird nose of sulphur and vulcanized rubber, some corn but maybe something went wrong with this bottle? body is light and very drinkable, finishes off-dry with a lot of grainy corn taste. Mouthfeel is the most appealing aspect of this one with a filling, milky property.

Pours gold from the bottle. The white head is white and frothy. Aroma is floral and honey sweet, with light soapy undertones. Taste up front sweet with a light herbal bitterness near the finish. Body trends medium. A pleasant and refreshing Helles.

UPDATED: NOV 18, 2016 (bottle) Sampled at Gees Oktoberfest last month. Golden complexion, medium bodied, mildly hoppy and malty. Not bad, just kind of boring. Im sure this would be much better fresh and on draft.

JoeinDahlem (1479) - Berlin, GERMANY - OCT 14, 2016
Clear pale gold with resilient layer of white foam after an aggressive pour. Smells mildly of cookies, bread dough, a subtle whiff of candied orange. Mildly sweet, low bitterness, light touch of doughy acidity, lingering note of alcohol. Medium bodied, a bit creamy and slightly slick. Attractive uncomplicated quaffer, better just to drink than to analyze. Oh well.
