COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Golden-yellow and bright, with 32 bitter units and quite hoppy compared to most of the other Pilsners our Weihenstephaner Pilsner comes up with a distinctive aroma of hops with a pleasant bitterness. This combination provides a balanced mix and guarantees great enjoyment. Brewed according to our centuries-old brewing tradition on the Weihenstephan hill.

Bottle from Beerbaboon - clear golden color with white head. Taste is straw, malts, some faint hops. not very bitter. the taste of their perfect "Unfiltriertes" shines through here and there but to be honest this is only a well-made but average pils.

Bottle. Clear straw with big attractive white head. A touch of banana initially, followed by wheat, biscuit and almonds. Reasonably bitter, spicy hops with a good biscuit malt backing. Refreshing beer without being at the level of most Weihenstepher's. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Aromas of hay and apple juice. Taste is apple juice, straw, some banana peel. A nice bready finish kicks in, followed by a honey sweetness and grassy hops.

Weihenstephaner Pils has a thick, stark-white, crackling head, a clear, straw appearance, with some sediment chunks and fairly heavy lacing left behind. The aroma is of sharp, slightly syrupy malt, and a sweet white bread. Taste is the same, with a grassy hop bitterness. Mouthfeel is light to medium, and Weihenstephaner Pils finishes crisp and refreshing. RJT

33cl bottle. Brilliant clear yellow-golden with a lacy white head. The aroma is nice, grassy, crisp, some hay, black pepper, bread, and honey notes. The flavor is very crisp and polished with a great grassy/peppery hop kick, otherwise dry. Pretty light and crisp on the feel, but not watery. Very drinkable. This should be rated better. It is a top-tier pilsner, as I’d expect from this brewery. Exactly on point for the style, just very well done and flavorful. People must not be getting fresh bottles or something.
