Golden-yellow and bright, with 32 bitter units and quite hoppy compared to most of the other Pilsners our Weihenstephaner Pilsner comes up with a distinctive aroma of hops with a pleasant bitterness. This combination provides a balanced mix and guarantees great enjoyment. Brewed according to our centuries-old brewing tradition on the Weihenstephan hill.

Litt sødme i avslutningen.

500 ml bottle, from Alko Karigasniemi. ABV is 5.1%. Pale golden colour, moderate white head. Moderate aroma of floral hops. The flavour is sweeter than expected, with fairly distinct bittering hops.

vinivini (2227) - Gomel, BELARUS - JUN 11, 2017
Bottle. Brilliant golden effervescent beer with huge white rocky head. Perfect retention. Spicy, peppery hoppy nose. Different. Additional pale malts. Light to medium body. Cleanest pilsner malts start the taste. Very crisp. Light spicy bitterness on medium long finish. Nice hops on aftertaste. A model Bavarian Pilsner that brings joy sip by sip.

FROTHINGSLOSH (7670) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 21, 2017
Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a bright yellow color with a huge soapy foamy yellow-white head that lingered and left minimal lacing. The aroma was grassy, perfumey and crisp. The flavor was grassy and grainy with a bit of grape. Medium length finish. Medium body. Meh

UPDATED: MAY 6, 2017 Crystal clear straw pour with light typical pilsner bready aroma. Big frothy white head reducing quickly. Very pleasant taste which is consistent throughout. Well balanced. Fine and subtle palate. Creamy mouthfeel. Simple easy drinking no frills quality beer. Transports you to a German ale house.

500ml Keg at Weihenstephaner Beer Hall, Berlin (€4.60):
Another excellent beer from Weihenstephan and up there with some of the best pilsners I’ve tried, mainly due to the fact that the beer looked good and had an excellent palate; the taste and nose weren’t bad either but nothing was really a standout from them. The beer was incredibly easy to drink with an excellent balance from the start and some nice sweetness at times that worked well with the subtle bitterness that featured throughout the beer. It’s a beer that could probably have benefited from being just a touch stronger, particular with the nose but it was very pleasant from the start and one that I’d definitely have again.

Bottle pours a clear pale golden with a large white head. Aroma of sweet semibready malt with light german hops. Sweet beery malt, honey, caramel, light hop bitterness. Pretty average German macro.
