Over 1000 years of brewery experience together with American innovation, two years of development and the four ingredients malt, hops, water, and yeast resulted in a new dimension of the art of brewing and in an innovative, ground-breaking beer: Infinium. The sparkling beer is complex, unique in taste and produced strictly according to the German purity law. This sparkling beer is dry and strong in taste despite the more the 10 percent by volume alcohol and unsettles preconceived opinion about the limits of the German purity law. The strong, deep golden beer will enter the market in noble, corked, 0.75 liter bottles. The joint venture of Weihenstephan and Samuel Adams unites a new way of thinking about the world of the American extreme.

Pours a golden honey color with a huge white foamy head. Aroma is strange. There is a sweetness to it, but there is a strong astringent note that Im not exactly sure what it is. Flavor has that normal Belgian note. Very strong alcohol in it. It is pretty bitter, without a whole lot of actual hop flavor. There is, once again, a strange astringent character to it. It is almost a little off-putting. As it warms a little bit, some of the more sweet malty goodness comes out. It does have an extraordinaryly rich and creamy body, but Im not sure if I really like this.

2008 vintage. Pours orange with a small white head and some yeast floaties. Aroma is super ripe black grapes & a champagne like quality. Taste is dry with super ripe, verging on noble rot, concord grapes with a little pear and a distinct champagne-like bite for the finish.

Refrigerated 75 cl brown bottle poured into a glass. Slightly hazy with small-white head. Aroma is fruity, medium body, medium/low carbonation, and little lacing. Taste is fruity, some dark fruit, and tart.

Pale golden color. Malt aroma, bread, fruits. Malt base during the taste, sweet fruits, yeast. Fizzy carbonation, almost like champagne. Interesting stuff.

Wahnsinn!!!! Vor der Bierothek in Bamberg verkstigt. Toddys Gabe. 20 Euronen das groe Flschen.

Golden with white head. Stale pilsner, Belgian yeast and spicy alcohol. Sweet, caramel, cloing and floral finish. Overall: Regular beer in fancy clothing. The emperor is naked.

Smell of yeast, alcohol. Amber colour, high white head. Aroma of honey, yeast, banana, overripe berries, alcohol. Very sweet, light texture. Wild but soft carbon. Too yeasty, too strong, even too sweet.

75cl shmancy bottle courtesy of Mister_Li shared @Bierhandlung, 2014 batch bb09/2015. - - Soggy yellow Weizenbock pour, Weizenbrick nose of dusty banana pudding, vanilla butterscotch and starches, more Weizen and heavy grains in flavour: heavy almond puree, starchy semolina pudding, banana, bread dough. - No real yeast levity, distinct speciality malt or hop character and frankly devoid of most redeeming character apart from not betraying its ABV, the one Belgian trait these brewmasters have nailed. Fail to see the purpose of this collab and this recipe.

bottle, shared at a bar, poured a light brown more copper colour with a tanned head. nose is very sweet, burned caramel, caramel malts, oxidized fruits, yeast, citrus, and alcohol notes. taste is strong alcohol mess, and a big amount of sweet malts. what a mess. cant belive this came out of the great weihenstephan brewery. also way to overpriced for the quality you get. bad

2010 Vintage: Pours a semi-opaque bronze with a thick white head that leaves lots of lacing. Nose is slightly citrus. Palate is medium body. Taste is citrus, dry with no mal. Although, there was a very slight maltiness upon first taste that disappears on subsequent pourings. This bottle was stored for five years as a champagne, i.e. on its side at cellar temperature. No oxidation, no off flavors. Served in a pilsner glass. This beer has changed since it was released. There is now sediment and a haze. No banana nor maltiness remain making it what it was originally designed to be: "The Champagne of Bottled Beer". See below for first review. Pours a thick white head that slowly dissipates leaving sheet lacing that clings to the glass, a crystal rimless wine glass. The bubbles are champagne-like - tiny bubbles (to the tune of the song) that remain throughout the glass. The color is translucent slightly burnished brass matching the label. A slight swirl opens up the nose revealing malt and citrus. The taste is an attenuated malty sweetness with a hint of banana in a medium body followed by a dry finish. Enjoyed on the Celebration of the Birth of Jesus, the Messiah.
