COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our reddish brown dark lager “Tradition” with its mild aroma of hops smells like roasted malt and impresses with its sweet caramel flavor which is followed by a slight bitterness. Goes well with hearty dishes, such as roasts, poultry and game. Brewed according to our centuries-old brewing tradition on the Weihenstephan hill.

thellgren (1143) - Helsinki, FINLAND - MAY 27, 2017
0.5 l bottle from Alko (tasted May 12, 2017). Appearance is brown, clear and small head. Taste is, as expected, malty. There is chocolate but also some liquorice. Kind of similar to Altbier, but more crisp, clean and less complicated since this is bottom fermented. Quite OK for a dark lager.
