Bottle bought at the beer store at the brewhouse in Freising. Overall a good dunkles. Caramel and rostated malt in the aroma. Coca cola color, stable off white head. Taste is malt, caramel and rosated malt, some minor sweetness. Refrehing. Anytime again. Frode (383) - Oslo, NORWAY - SEP 1, 2014

Clear amber, off-white head. Roasted malt, fruit and some bread. Sweet and malty, light bitter.
Clear brown color, medium sized off-white head. Watery. Thin body, average carbonation. I was hoping for some roasty notes, but there is none of them. Hints of caramel. Disappointing.

Browngolden with golden foam. Mildly sour malty metalic aroma. Malt, charamel, sweet, buttery with burned malty aftertaste that lasts. High in carbon. KyotoLefty (10254) - Kyoto, JAPAN - AUG 10, 2014
Tap at the brewery. From old notes. Sweet, rich malt flavors, chocolate and caramel. Not overly sweet. Well done dunkel. RafeAU (629) - Los Angeles, California, USA - AUG 1, 2014
Shared a bottle at Plonk. My ventures into lager territory. Dark lager, has some flavour but still a bit mild on taste... not my style. rockana (301) - Zadar/Zagreb, CROATIA - JUL 27, 2014
Pours dark brown color with off white head. Caramel, malt. Watery texture. Could be better. KeefOz (1838) - Tarragindi, AUSTRALIA - JUN 5, 2014
BB 27.08.14. Poured a clear dark coppery brown colour with a two- to three-finger light tan frothy head that diminished quickly (compared to other Weihenstephaner beers tasted recently). Laced OK. Carbonation low with large bubbles. Aroma strongly of sweet malt with underlying faint molasses; all quite sweet. Taste mostly sweet caramel malt plus a hint of sweet fruits and also very subtle hops bitterness. Light body, a bit thin on the mouthfeel. Smooth, clean and with a slightly sweet finish.
