Bottle. Pours reddy brown with thin bubbly head. Aroma is malty and caramel. More malt, banana and caramel in the taste along with mild bitterness and sour notes. Bit thin and oily in the mouthfeel. Cantabrian (1169) - Christchurch NZ, now Brisbane, AUSTRALIA - NOV 15, 2013
Colour of Daffyd Thomas’s "Bacardi & Cola", with a rough off-white head. The flavour is surprisingly bitter, with karamels lurking behind. Not too roasty, not too herbal. Just nice. The finish has an alcoholic touch of an old-timer asthma inhaler. Sureshpa (398) - Maastricht, NETHERLANDS - OCT 16, 2013
Aroma: roasted malts, caramel, rye, hint of chocolate Appearance: brown amber, clear, off white head. Taste: Caramel, malty, bitter finish StevieT (2039) - AUSTRALIA - SEP 27, 2013
Mild flavours of caramel, very smooth, not too bad a drop. Could drink a coffee on a hot day. M_Sack (793) - Sydney, AUSTRALIA - SEP 26, 2013
Deep red/brown, thin cream head. Aromas of roast malt, caramel, brown sugar and a slight whiff of metallic lager yeast. Nice flavours of caramel and roasty malt with a residual sweetness. Hollow mid palate with a touch of bitterness towards the back of the palate. Good with pork knuckle. Perhaps just a touch too sweet by itself.

Pours clear brown with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel, chocolate and floral. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter with a caramel finish. Body is medium, texture is thin to oily, carbonation is soft.
50cl bottle from the brewery. Pours a deep brown colored body with a slight reddish hue. inch thick, creamy and frothy, light brown head that dissipates slowly and leaves a nice lacing. Aroma is somewhat sweet and bready caramels with a decent roast and some dark fruits. Flavor is similar. Decently roasted and bitter with a bready, somewhat sweet caramel backing. A few dark fruits and a touch of oxidation before this finishes dry and leaves a fairly lengthy aftertaste. Medium body and a soft, active carbonation. Overall, a decent dunkel. Fairly roasty and bitter, but sweet enough to balance. Not bad. RichardW (1813) - Carlisle, Cumbria, ENGLAND - JUL 2, 2013
Bottle, beers of Europe. Pours a deep reddy mahogany colour. Sweet bready malt aroma, red berry flavours, fizzy palate, with a caramel and brown sugar. I think it gets better with progress, perhaps could do with a bit more body but otherwise another good beer from a fine brewery.
