Dull yellow pour with a fluffy head, still there a few minutes later! banana dominates aroma. Clove, Banana, dominate flavor, some peppery flavor on the tailend. Very light mouthfeel. can’t believe its 7.7%, very nice brew. kopher (593) - New York, USA - DEC 28, 2009
strong banana, brown sugar, alcohol aroma, bananas foster! also lots of yeast and some spicy citrus.
cloudy yellow straw, thick frothy eggshell head.
nice sweet mild flavor, backed by a bit of citrus and cloves, though just a bit watery.
body’s also slightly thin, though nicely textured, almost crunchy, with a nice sweet spicy finish. phaleslu (10247) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - DEC 28, 2009
Bottle from Wine and Cheese Place in Clayton. Pours hazy yellow-gold with a big rocky white head that leaves some lacing behind. Aroma of banana, clove, wheat, yeast, floral notes, and coriander- not unlike a traditional German hefewezen on the nose. Banana also leads the flavor, with wheat and yeast, as well as spices and herbal notes. Medium bodied, with active carbonation. Wheaty mouthfeel. Nice balance, good beer. mastabass666 (277) - California, USA - DEC 27, 2009
Pours cloudy gold with a big frothy head. Aroma-pear, banana, clove, lemon, bread. Taste-much like the aroma with pears being the most forward then cloves and sugar. Sweet, short and fruity finish. Really great. grikmok (132) - Little Rock, Arkansas, USA - DEC 27, 2009
Poured into a flute with a medium yellowy head. Aromas of malts and chocolate were prominent. The taste was yeasty at first and ended with malty aftertaste. I enjoyed it very much.

Bottle. Pours a hazy gold with a large fluffy white head. Nice big banana and wheat with a nice musky yeast note that shows up as it warms. Simple but clean. Medium bodied, light banana and wheat. Finishes with a bit of warming alcohol and a touch of banana. tastybeer (1853) - Indiana, USA - DEC 26, 2009
Bottle. Pours hazy yellow with a big white head. Smells like banana and clove, and tastes as such. Some alcohol presence but overall great. A Weizenbock done right. gilby (27) - Fort Riley, Kansas, USA - DEC 24, 2009
A nice clovey banana taste similar to other weihenstephaner products. Pretty cloudy appearance. Very carbonated (again like other weihenstephaner products) and a nice aroma and somewhat sweet taste. A good choice overrall delnoche (516) - Alamogordo, New Mexico, USA - DEC 18, 2009
1pt bottle poured into a weizen glass. Cloudy orange with ample creamy white head. Aroma is yeast, bubblegum, spice, banana. Flavor is bubblegum, banana, spice, bread. Medium-bodied, lively carbonation. Medium finish is slightly bitter. This is an odd weizen bock. The dominance of the bubblegum aroma/flavor is more reminiscent of big Belgian beers than a weizen bock. Not a bad beer, just not a great example of the style.
