Our light-coloured, spicy single-bock, “Vitus” is saturated with fine yeast and a creamy foam. It is a specialty with a round character based on the extra long storage time. The fruity smell of dried apricots joins aromas of citrus, cloves and hints of banana. Full-bodied and sparkling with an effervescent mouthfeel. Thus, the Vitus does not taste like a typical Bock beer but more like a noble, fruity wheat beer. Perfect with red meat, strong cheese and also able to guide desserts. Brewed according to our centuries-old brewing tradition on the Weihenstephan hill.

UPDATED: MAY 18, 2016 50cl bottle - If you ever crave a well-concocted, smooth but powerful banana milkshake with a dry almond malt backbone and a splash of orange to make you happy, then look no further! // Revisited vintage bb08/2015 (8 month old): keps up very well, adding massive almond cake in taste to banana in flavour. Spices mellowed out, body nearly dry - works well with all kinds of food (asparagus risotto and salmon).

Bready banana clove good-ness. These flavors just up to (but not over) the point of too much. Drinks very smooth - no alcohol notes, even at 7.7 abv. Just a delicious brew.

UPDATED: DEC 7, 2017 Looks like honey, with a thin white head. Yeasty aroma, with some ripe banana. High in carbonation. Taste dominated by the yeast, but more malt and spices than a more standard weissbeer. I prefer this type.

Aggiebob (1324) - Huntsville, Alabama, USA - DEC 5, 2017
UPDATED: DEC 5, 2017 Bottle. Golden color poured with a frothy white head. It has a yeasty spiced aroma with notes of clove, a light fruitiness and bread.

Incredibly thick and cottony white head. Cloudy and golden color. Aromas of ripened fruit, bread and sugar. Flavors of banana, wheat and slight sour. Incredible mouthfeel. Delicious. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

I’m no expert on Weiss beer, but take regular Weihenstephaner and inject a whole new world of flavour into it, and you get this premium version of the brew. To me, it represents everything that is great about a white beer, and amplifies it. Shared with a friend, in Rotterdam.

50cl bottle at cafe de toeter in Groningen. Pours a haxy orange amber colour with a big creamy white head which has great retention. Aroma of yeast, spices, malt, citrus, slight coriander, slight sweet apple. Taste is medium sweet, light bitter with a soft dry finish. Notes of malt, yeast, caramel, spices, coriander. Texture is creamy, medium to light bodied with medium carbonatio n

Beh direi una bella weizen bock, naso bello fruttato, e anche in bocca mi sembra più che buona...

Nice hay colour with wheaty nose and some nice malty notes. Lots of sweetness and some caramel taste with also cerial notes. Palate short but typical wheat type.

Another wondrous German beer from these Weihenstephaner folks. It has a rich wheaty almost raspberry whiff to it. It is a UTI pee darkness in color. The taste is complex and refreshing with a strong wheat fruit complex duking it out for the title while a sneaky sugar milk goop bottom comes up in the end on the aftertaste. It is delightful and pungent, a classic beer to savor. Good for kicking off the end of the great Halt and Catch Fire while your boo boo dances seductively in the doorway to a dank ass Tom Petty Stevie Nicks duet blaring from stock speakers.

Tap @Barley Mow, Bristol.
Small white head, golden/amber colour, cloudy. Aroma: banana and clover. Lightly sour with sweet aftertaste. Full body, average carbonation, nice & smooth.
