COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our light-coloured, spicy single-bock, Vitus is saturated with fine yeast and a creamy foam. It is a specialty with a round character based on the extra long storage time. The fruity smell of dried apricots joins aromas of citrus, cloves and hints of banana. Full-bodied and sparkling with an effervescent mouthfeel. Thus, the Vitus does not taste like a typical Bock beer but more like a noble, fruity wheat beer. Perfect with red meat, strong cheese and also able to guide desserts. Brewed according to our centuries-old brewing tradition on the Weihenstephan hill.

Cloudy apricot gold with a rich, creamy white head. The nose is eminently balanced. Banana, clove, bubble gum deliciously spicy. Taking a sip, wow. Juicy, delicious, super drinkable. Again, I am impressed by the incredible balance. Pepper, clove, banana. Creamy, silky texture, and totally hidden alcohol. Very direct, somewhat lacking complexity but the perfect beer to drink in big gulps out of a gigantic stein.

Aroma: Subtle fresh citrus notes. Appearance: Wheat beer. Pale yellow color with cloudy liquid and a rocky white head. Taste: Very subtle light sweet touch with a medium bitter flavour. Palate: Medium body with thick liquid and average carbonation. Not too long bitter finish. Overall: Good strong wheat beer. Less aroma than others but as much body and good taste.

(Bottled) Thick foamy white head. Looks like freshly powdered snow. Body is a cloudy golden color. Light aroma of clove. Nice flavor of fresh yeast and some noble hop character. More like a wheat beer than a bock beer, which can be quite cloying. Clean palate.

Jabic (485) - Plainfield, Vermont, USA - FEB 24, 2017
Ar: Moderate banana, black pepper, and tart peach; some clean dough and deep herbal notes; the herbal quality is very slightly vegetal. Ap: Cloudy straw gold; very large white head, beautiful mousse, and great retention, leaving an airy foam with mostly super-fine bubbles. T: Full, bready burst up front, slightly sweet; lots of wheat body, yet crisp; some clean, warming alcohol; fairly pronounced banana with clove, bubblegum, and black pepper accents; medium-low bitterness, herbal in hop flavor; peach skin and lemon on the finish. P: Medium, lush wheat body; high carbonation with a medium-dry finish. O: Tasty weizenbock; on the paler side for the style; clean wheat flavor and mouthfeel, with some nice hefe yeast notes and a clean, warming alcohol.
