Our light-coloured, spicy single-bock, “Vitus” is saturated with fine yeast and a creamy foam. It is a specialty with a round character based on the extra long storage time. The fruity smell of dried apricots joins aromas of citrus, cloves and hints of banana. Full-bodied and sparkling with an effervescent mouthfeel. Thus, the Vitus does not taste like a typical Bock beer but more like a noble, fruity wheat beer. Perfect with red meat, strong cheese and also able to guide desserts. Brewed according to our centuries-old brewing tradition on the Weihenstephan hill.

Tap at Express D'Lyon, 10th January 18. Pours hazy and orange, aroma is banana, yeast and cloves. Taste is fruity, yeast, spice. It's good, but not my favourite.

Kleg (446) - The Beach, Florida, USA - JAN 8, 2018
Opaque dirty gold color with a white head and good retention. No lacing. Taste is strong Belgian yeast. Slightly sour fruit finish. I'm not a fan of this style. 7.7 ABV is well hidden.

UPDATED: JAN 2, 2018 Strong banana aroma. Slight clove note, well balancing the depth of the fruitiness. Some vanilla aroma. Ample mouthfeel. Moderate bitterness, finishes on a banana, slightly sweet note.

SarkyNorthener (5012) - West Bromwich (Yorkshire Expat), West Midlands, ENGLAND - JAN 2, 2018
Bottle from Beerwulf online. Hazy golden beer with large head. Aroma of banana, yeast, citrus and cloves. Taste is banana, spice, yeast cloves and wheat. Very good.

jjsint (3604) - Leicester, Leicestershire, ENGLAND - JAN 1, 2018
Bottle from Brewhouse & Kitchen, Bedford. Light yellow, cloudy with a thick white head. Normal Hefe banana aroma mixes with a heady yeasty candy sugar note. Sweet, almost fruity taste with clove, gooseberry and honey in the aftertaste. Body quite thin, buoyed up by modest carbonation. A good 'un.

GreenCat (214) - SLOVENIA - DEC 31, 2017
0,5 l bottle. Pours hazy yellow with big lasting frothy white head. Intensive banana aroma when poured fades with head, wheat, yeast, sourness from head, apricot, a bit of tart and wheat. Flavor is similar, but with plenty of clove. Taste is medium sweet, light bitter and light sour. Body is quite full, texture is rich and creamy despite quite lively carbonation. Finish is long, clove, apricot, tarty and nicely finished off with mild and gentle spicy bitterness.

SonOfAnarchy (573) - ST HELENA - DEC 29, 2017
Bottle. Pours hazy golden with a rich white head. Aroma of intense esters, including banana, cloves, wheat malt, a tiny bit of warm alcohol in the background. Tatse is sweetish, low to medium bitterness. Flavors of esters, intense banana and clove, slight alcohol. Meidum to full body, slick sticky texture, a bit too high carbonation. A rather mediocre weizenbock full of esters.
