COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our light-coloured, spicy single-bock, “Vitus” is saturated with fine yeast and a creamy foam. It is a specialty with a round character based on the extra long storage time. The fruity smell of dried apricots joins aromas of citrus, cloves and hints of banana. Full-bodied and sparkling with an effervescent mouthfeel. Thus, the Vitus does not taste like a typical Bock beer but more like a noble, fruity wheat beer. Perfect with red meat, strong cheese and also able to guide desserts. Brewed according to our centuries-old brewing tradition on the Weihenstephan hill.

Pours a cloudy golden color. Smell is bursting with spices, banana. Taste is very flavorful, banana, clove, spice, very complex, alcohol well hidden. Overall a top notch beer.

UPDATED: JUL 25, 2017 Tap at Alehouse Palmhof. Pours hazy amber with a medium head. Aroma is strong ripe banana, almost obscene in its sweetness. Low apricot. Body is heavy, very sweet and boozy. Lots of banana, only slightly pulled back by lively carbonation, over a sticky texture. Lingering sweet banana palate. A strong Weizenbock, and a good one at it.

16.9 oz. bottle, consumed on 7-15-17. Pours a hazy, cloudy, light tan to dark straw. Moderate amount of cream-colored head. Yeasty aroma has scents of banana, banana bread, lemon, orange, and caramel. Quite tasty. Flavor largely matches but exceeds the aroma. Lemon meringue pie (creamy, sweet lemon). I like the flavor a lot, although it leans perhaps a bit too sweet, not to my surprise (that?s common in the style). Milky finish. Also a pleasant lemon zest in the aftertaste that I really enjoy. A bit of alcohol burn in the throat, surprisingly, but not in a particularly bad way. Medium to full body. Frothy and smooth in the palate. Good flavor and aftertaste but nothing special otherwise. A good amount of complexity, although I was hoping for even more. Serves its purpose well but doesn?t excel as much as I was hoping. 7.3.8.4.14=>3.6

Light hazy golden with white head. Aroma is honey, candy sugar. Taste is candy. Very sweet, slight bitterness. Full body. Drinkable but too sweet for me.

Description here is quite accurate - definitely getting lots of banana and apricot with just a little hint of clove and spice, lending a warm finish. Some honey and toasted wheat in there. Even smells a bit smoky. Quite bubbly. Could stand to be just a touch less sweet, but overall very well-rounded and tasty.

A absolutely great German beer! A beautifully done Weizenbock. A Hefeweizen times two. Same rich clove, bubblegum nuances. Can't go wrong with this bier. Prost! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

0,5l Bottle. Pours hazy yellow color with mediumish head. Flavor is heavy on bananas and sweet malts, added with some spices, alcohol, citrusy fruitness. Very well balanced overall, medium to think body, spicy alcoholy aftertaste that lasts for a while.

Aroma a cítricos, pan, plátano, muchas especias, levadura. Invita a meter la nariz en el líquido. En boca hay cítricos, mucho pan, plátano, especias. Buen balance entre dulzor y acidez. Ligerísimo amargor final acompañado de especias. Riquísimo postgusto especiado y fresco.

Bottle from Macon Beverage Outlet. Hazy yellow with white head and plenty of carbonation. Banana and citrus nose, and sweet tart malty taste that lingers. Soft palate from the carbonation. A little sweet but very sophisticated.
