COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Things that have meaning: Life, the universe and saison! Saison 42 is a French style, mostly harmless farmhouse ale, orange in colour and hopped with Bobec. Dry and refreshing and a great match to many foods. If you are new to this style you might say that it is almost, but not quite, entirely unlike beer. You would be wrong, this is the style that traditionally was brewed by farmers during the winter to be enjoyed in the summer after those long hard days of work. Batch 0008 Best served cold on a hot sunny day. Share and Enjoy!

Bottle. Bronze and pored with a big head which took time to dissipate. Comlex fruity flavour which was unusual and quite unique. Very pleasant and easy to drink.

A little low carbonation. Nice citrusy, fruity and refreshing taste and aroma. Might a little to bitter.

Beese (3209) - Watford, Hertfordshire, ENGLAND - JUN 18, 2014
Bottle from the St Albans: Beer Shop. Poured a clear amber, with a large, rocky white head. Aroma of sherbet, orange, floral hops and coriander. Fruity flavours of banana and satsuma, mixed with some bready malt. Finish was straw, peal and grain.

Leighton (22297) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUL 18, 2013
Bottle at home in London - picked up the Kris Wines. Pours mostly clear chestnut gold, with delicate effervescence and a lively, frothy off-white head. The aroma holds lots of doughy bread, some mashed ripe bananas, hints of orange, yeast. The flavor is medium sweet with plenty more bready malts, a bit of yeasty dough, lightly toasted hay, ripe bananas, subtle cereal, faint citrus peel. Light to medium bodied with average, massaging carbonation. Sweet finish, some lightly sugary and doughy bread, suggestions of alcohol, touches of banana and bubblegum, slight bitter toasted hay. Nicely balanced. Fairly refreshing. Well executed for the style.

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines; dark amber pour with tidy off white head, grassy yeast aroma, grassy taste with some spices mostly cardamom, complex and satisfying. Love the Hitch hikers references.

Very nice saison. Served with chicken which went together very well. Very rustic it was, herbs from the garden. Verily using the word very very much. Indeed. Very.

Bottle from Sourced, on the Eurostar to Brussels, 26/09/13. Murky orange amber with a moderately sized off white head which clears to a covering. Nose is light soap, citrus, lemon rind, grass, light caramel notes. Taste comprises earthy farmy notes, citrus fruit, bitter orange, lemon peel, candied sugars, straw. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, dry grassy bitter finale. Decent saison.

Ungstrup (38381) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - MAR 22, 2014
Bottled. A hazy amber beer with a beige head. The aroma has notes of brettanomyces, yeast, pepper, and lemons. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, lemons, pepper, and yeast, leading to a tart finish
