Gravity cask @ In De Wildeman. Color is as good as black. Frothy beige head. Aroma’s: chocolate, roasted. Retronasal there’s heavy roast, ground coffee, dark chocolate. Flavor: moderate sweet, chocolate, mocha. Light bodied, but not thin. Long finish, dry, hard roast, ash. Christos (5688) - Arnhem, NETHERLANDS - DEC 19, 2015
(Weird Beard Black Perle) Bottle 500 ml at home, served into a shaker, ABV 3.8%
Dark brown, almost totally black colour on the body, huge dark beige head, with great retention.
Aroma has lots of coffee, basically covering everything else, some light roasted malts, coffee grounds.
Taste is not as sweet as I expected but rather balanced, plenty of coffee again, light roasted malts, hints of dark, bitter chocolate on the finish.
Medium thin body, carbonation on the high side.

Cask at In de Wildeman. Black colour, thin beige head. Aroma of ground coffee, lactose, coffee with milk and sugar, hint of vanilla, chocolate, roasted malts. Flavour is sweet, coffee, milk, sugar, chocolate, roasted malts, bitter finish. Quite sweet, but tasty. Zlotta (3188) - Hagen / Bonn, GERMANY - DEC 16, 2015
From cask at In de Wildeman. Clear, very dark brown to black with a thin, creamy, brown head. Roasty-malty aroma of coffee, dark chocolate and some caramel. Sweetish, roasty-malty taste of coffee, dark chocolate and caramel, followed by a short, roasty-bitter finish. Medium body, slightly creamy mouthfeel, flat. Nice! tderoeck (9471) - Gent, BELGIUM - DEC 15, 2015

Clear dark brown beer, almost black, creamy irregular beige head, pretty stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: very roasted, cocoa powder, coffee, vanilla, caramel, bit sweet. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: very roasted start, cocoa powder, caramel, malty, grains, bit sourish. Aftertaste: coffee, pretty roasted, bitter touch, "green" impression, spicy, some cinnamon, bitter, hoppy, come charcoal, green banana, little sweet in the finish. Amazing for a low alcohol beer!
Bottle from red and white, four oaks. Black beer with tight medium tan head. Aroma of cold coffee and a little licorice. Taste is roast coffee, some dark chocolate, licorice and a little ash. Good stuff. ianwelby (1367) - SCOTLAND - NOV 30, 2015
Black beer with a thin, creamy head. Smell is coffee and strong, bitter chocolate. Flavour is a touch more easy-going than I expected. Malt, coffee, chocolate and a proper mily
ky quality to match the name. Not the heartiest, richest stout you’ll have (or even milk stout) but it’s tasty, the flavours linger and the balance is great. ShivanDragon (4027) - Leeuwarden, NETHERLANDS - NOV 26, 2015
3.8%, 500ml, pours black with a limited but fine brown head. Aroma of a lot of coffee, chocolate, toasted and roasted malts, vanill, hops. very nice..<vr/>
Taste are reasonable to robust coffee and roasted/burnt makt bitter, moderately sweetness, vanilla, milk chocolate, smooth and soft in texture, something sharp, long coffee and roasted aftertaste, reasonable body. low carbonation, .... you have to appreciate strong coffee brews, otherwise this isn’t your beer....occasionally you’ll find one that is outstanding... and that’s this one.... nice tastefull beer with limited alcohol... bloodbuzzdean (42) - Glasgow, SCOTLAND - NOV 19, 2015
