When you get to that time of day when that cup of hot coffee is no longer the answer, and you need something with a little extra kick, plait your bear, stick on your eye patch and grab a Black Perle. This milk stout is chock full of roasty malts, milk sugar, hopped with hand full’s of perle plundered from the unsuspecting and aged on a chest full of Zamorana coffee beans.

Gethinbeer (2452) - Nova Scotia, CANADA - AUG 12, 2015
Deep black pour with a tan head and cling lace. Fantastic roasted malt aroma. Coffee, chocolate smoked flavour. Absolutely delicious. Great texture, turns a little sweet towards the end perhaps. Would like slightly more bitterness. Gorgeous brew.

ManVsBeer (10281) - Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire, ENGLAND - AUG 6, 2015
Cask @ Fox And Goose, Hebden Bridge. Black with a off-white head. Quite stated in its roasted malt in both aroma and taste, but with a light palatable texture.

Half pint of cask at FyneFest. Very dark. Not much head, but off white. Medium consistency.

Towey1989 (2720) - Stoke On Trent, Staffordshire, ENGLAND - JUN 24, 2015
Bottle. Pours a deep brown colour with a foamy mocha head. Aroma of roasted malts, coffee, earth, some lactose, chocolate, subtle mint and spicy hops. Taste of roasted and fruity malts, lactose, chocolate, coffee, some earth, sweet caramel, some blackberry and slight spicy hop bitterness. Light bodied and a flat carbonation. A soft, roasted bitterness in the finish. Quite sweet with a subtle hop bitterness. Not exciting but nice, so easy drinking.

Pours black with a lovely cocoa foam head. Dusty cocoa on the nose with just a hint of coffee. Taste is of fresh roast coffee, hint of cocoa and it’s velvety smooth.
