Deep black pour with a tan head and cling lace. Fantastic roasted malt aroma. Coffee, chocolate smoked flavour. Absolutely delicious. Great texture, turns a little sweet towards the end perhaps. Would like slightly more bitterness. Gorgeous brew.

Cask @ Fox And Goose, Hebden Bridge. Black with a off-white head. Quite stated in its roasted malt in both aroma and taste, but with a light palatable texture.

Towey1989 (3264) - Stoke On Trent, Staffordshire, ENGLAND - JUN 24, 2015
Bottle. Pours a deep brown colour with a foamy mocha head. Aroma of roasted malts, coffee, earth, some lactose, chocolate, subtle mint and spicy hops. Taste of roasted and fruity malts, lactose, chocolate, coffee, some earth, sweet caramel, some blackberry and slight spicy hop bitterness. Light bodied and a flat carbonation. A soft, roasted bitterness in the finish. Quite sweet with a subtle hop bitterness. Not exciting but nice, so easy drinking.

UPDATED: MAY 3, 2015 Bottle. Appearance: Thick black colour, beige foam retains a layer throughout Aroma: Rich but not very intense, mainly chocolate, smoke, nuts Taste: Mellow and smooth, malts, smoke, lots of coffee and chocolate. Pleasantly bitter aftertaste. Great taste for its low abv!
