Clear dark black brown color with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, burnt, coffee, strong coffee, dusty coffee, light chocolate. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, ash, dark roasted, dusty coffee. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat.

Bottled (Spontaneous KSMT tasting).Black colour, mediumsized beige foamy head, which leaves some lace. Aroma is coffee, roasted malts, some vanilla, liquorice and mild toffeeish notes as well. Craft Clerkenwell. Cask. Opaque dark brown beer, little pale tan head. Palate is light and airy and slightly soft. Light touch of dark malts, tangy. Little dark fruits and a whisper of dark chocolate. Super light roast malt. Pretty modest coffee. Citrus peeping through in the semi dry finish. A lot going on here for such a modest abv stout. Decent.

Cask at the Cock Tavern - London. Pours dark brown with a thick, mocha cream head. Quite a bit of mocha on the nose, soft roast. Light to medium sweet flavor with char, some chalky roast, slight minerals and baking cocoa. Light bodied with smooth, silky carbonation. Fairly earthy and bitter to finish, lots of bittersweet baking cocoa, moderate toast, some burnt coffee grounds. A really nice, depthy and sessionable stout. Mid black with a forthy tan head that retains well.
Nose is roast malt, coffee, milk chocolate.
Taste comprises roast malt, rich vein of coffee, oats, sugar, milk chocolate buttons.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, dry and roasty finish tempered with a little sweetness.
A very well balanced coffee stout, subtle enough to shine through but not overpower, great stuff!
