Decently heady for a stout, lotta chocolate, molasses, coffee and whiskey from the barrel. For those whom it bothers I must note the fairly perceptible alco in this one, but its rather warming as well. mateuszk (2769) - Poznań, POLAND - APR 5, 2017
Bottle. In aroma really good coffee notes, in taste as well. Nice milk chocolate mix with coffee and with just a slightly roasty note in taste, so similar to BT version but in finish there is note similar to flavour of hot peppers, finish is bit harsh and hot too. Medium body, silky texture, sweetish finish. MrTipple (7282) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - DEC 19, 2016
Milk chocolate, sweet, moist pralines, sweet coffee, molasses, dark, toasted malts, light whiskey barrels. Black, medium, creamy, beige head. Medium sweet. More intense coffee and chocolate, dark sugars, molasses, sweet, dark fruits, whiskey barrels, very soft carbonation, full bodied, dry cacao in the bitter but rich finish. Beautiful Impy, very complex, well-balanced. Bottle from Hoptimism, Loughborough. johndoughty (5600) - cheslyn hay, West Midlands, ENGLAND - SEP 13, 2016
Bottle Black with a small head. Excellent chocolate and coffee flavours hit you straight away with hops in the background. Another excellent one from this brewery-dont think they could make a poor or even average beer if they tried. cgarvieuk (26609) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JUL 31, 2016

A bottle from Prohibition Wines. A dark colour with a billowing café au lait head. Aromas of ash, wood and booze. Taste is of cigar ash, Christmas cake, wood, leather and rich dried fruits. Bitter, ashy finish. Not particularly rich or fruity but still a good Imperial Porter. Stuu666 (15530) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JUN 19, 2016
Bottle at home. Pours black, nose is milk chocolate, coffee, coconut, toffee, taste is similar, sweet, creamy, rich. RichTheVillan (8550) - Birmingham, West Midlands, ENGLAND - JUN 11, 2016
Bottle from Cotteridge Wines; opaque black pour with a thin creamy tan head, aroma has initial creamy chocolate backed up by some bourbon whisky action, taste has smooth chocolate, some dark roast, espresso coffee, vanilla, some dark fruits, a hint of charred wood, bourbon action present, slick mouthfeel, awesome. Syfher (523) - Brussels, BELGIUM - MAY 9, 2016
Bottle of 33cl, in a Tumbler glass; room temperature.
Superb beer : the colour is a real Imperial stout one, with the usual café au lait brown head. The aroma is sweet, stouty, but one can easily smell the barrel-aged. The taste is first of all an milky imperial stout, rich and sweet, but deep and a little bit sticky. The aftertaste is the barrel-aged taste.

Bottle share at Canary Wharf, thanks to Strokey. As Weird Beard Double Perle Jim Beam, 8.6% bottled Sep 2015. Black, big foamy dense brown head. Aroma is ash, salty, burnt toffee, wafer, chocolate, red berries. Body is a little light for style, soft carbonation, quite foamy. Taste is woody, bourbon, some coconut, salty, twiggy wood in the finish, quite bitter. Nice. (3.8)
