Brew_Cat (138) - Athens, GREECE - JUN 13, 2015
I’ve recently had a couple of bottles at Pulp Pub, Athens. Average creamy white head, good lacing, clear medium body, dark amber color. Interesting aromas, average malt presence (grain, hay, straw). Average hop presence (mainly floral, pine, citrus, grapefruit and lemon peel). Some hints of apple taste and aroma, thin texture, lively carbonation, bitter finish, citrusy aftertaste. Excellent choice!

7.3%ABV. American IPA. Poured out into a creamy tan head. Color is an inviting 16ºSRM with a deep golden honey. The way it poured out immediately reminded me of my favorite IPA, Buxton’s Axe Edge. The Piney citrus nose. Aggressively hopped. Aroma hops are nice and floral. Light and come out at the tail end of the palate. The full frontal hop assault is all herbaceous, lime peel, pine needles, wet yew bark, hyssop. Likely closest thing to Buxton Axe Edge, my favorite IPA in the world.

Towering, dense off-white head, slowly receding with lacerings over clear amber beer. Bit milky, sweet tubers; bit soupy nose. Not much in the way of hops... Again soupy, spicy. It’s bitter, but not hoppy in my book. Some background sweet malts. Metallic-bitter finish; acquiring a bitter almond flavour. Astringent, medium bodied, slick. Pfui..

Hazy orange beer with nice fluffy head. Aroma has tropical sweet fruits, citrus fruits, lemon and grapefruit. Really nice citrus notes, tropical fruits are well present. Maybe some sweet berries. Really high carbonation and medium carbonation.

Wygląd: Puszysta, lekka i drobno ziarnista piana. Bardzo obfita. Utrzymuje się do końca. Barwa piwa - bursztynowa, lekko zmętnione. Aromat: mango, pomarańcza, cytrusy, słód, lekka żywica. Smak: Średnia goryczka o żywicznym/leśnym charakterze. Pod koniec zamienia się w słodycz. Cytrusy, słodowa pełnia. Piwo dość treściwe, raczej słabo wysycone.

Bottle shared with JMD at HNB 17.05.15. Unclear pale orange. Uneven, off-white head. Powerful aroma and taste of bitter citrus. Some marmelade and tropical fruits. Also a hint of bitter pine shoots. High bitterness.

Bottle from Oddbins Beer Shop, Blackheath. Bright gold pour with a white head. Aromas of pineapple, nectarine, bags of tropical fruit. Long, intense fruit infusion up the old nasal passage. Fruit laden flavours of pineapple, mango and tangerine. Long, sweet fruit linger. Good stuff.

24/III/15 - 33cl bottle from Bierhalle Deconinck (Vichte) @ home - BB: VIII/2015 (2015-401) Thanks to markoijelena for the trade!

Gusher alert!
Little cloudy dark orange beer, creamy yellowish to beige head, little stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: very resinous, bit dusty, chemical touch, paint, sweet malts, some caramel. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: bitter start, very hoppy, some citrus, resinous, hint of grapefruit. Aftertaste: very bitter, citrus, hoppy.

sic1314 (4775) - Leiden, NETHERLANDS - APR 12, 2015
Poured a hazy light amber with an off white ring. Aroma of moderately sweet citrus and soft malt. Medium body, flavour is medium sweet, medium bitter. Overly bitter and unbalanced.
