bottle 50cl @STOOM brewpub. bottled 04/15, tht 04/16 Appearance is dark brown with a red/black hue. Coffee/coke/dr pepper-ish. Small beige head with some soapy lacing. Aroma has toast, brown malts, honey, some coffee/grass/floral and spicy notes. Taste is mostly roast/toast, dark bread with lots of espresso. Some caramel middle notes. Palate is dry/bitter, focusing on burnt/coffee/roast with some toffee and caramel. Nice beer. The soundtrack for this beer was Descendents - Coffee Mug (Everything Sucks). Solid.

Clear dark black - red brown colour with a large to huge, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, chocolate, moderate to heavy hoppy, citrus, grapefruit, frutiy hops. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, coffee, roasted, fruity hops, light sweet chocolate. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20151012]

Bottle @ weekly tasting shared by Joes. Dark brown color, medium sized beige head that lasts for quite a long time. Aroma is malts, quite firm coffee, nice hoppyness coming through. Tastes about the same: malts, hops, firm coffee and nice bitterness. Decent to medium body and carbonation. Nice one!

Draught at Mikkeller Bangkok. Black color, beige head. Bitter taste with citrus, roasted malts, nuts, coffee, smoke, chocolate and vanilla. Bitter finish with citrus, roasted malts, nuts, vanilla, coffee and chocolate. Excellent black IPA.

Bottle from Rehills, Newcastle. Inky black in colour with a huge head of rocky tan foam. It has a rich liquorice, chocolate and pine flavour with roasted coffee, vanilla and oak on the finish. Excellent!
