COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Traditionelle Braukunst in edler Vollendung!

28-09-2017; bottle; at home (bought at www.wineinblack.nl). I had the beer form a traditional stein, so it is a bit hard to examine the appearance. From what I've seen when pouring, the color of the beer is somewhere between golden yellow and amber. It is more red that most beers of this style. I don't know much about the clarity. When poring, it looked cloudy, but it's hard to tell. On top of the beer a nice layer of rough white foam is formed. Foam retention is average. The smell of the beer is very nice. It is different form what I've thought. I smell some nice malts, together with some strong fruity aromas. I smell a hint of strawberry, but also some passion fruit. Besides this, there are strong hop aromas. There are nice aromas of some citrus fruits, but also some nice herbal aromas. For a beer of this type, it is remarkably flavourful and hoppy. I smell a nice touch of wood, giving some full warming aromas. Nice one. The taste of the beer is also very nice. I like it. It has some nice sweet malts, strong sweet fruit flavorous and some nice fruity and bitter, and also slightly acidic, hops. The flavour is well balanced. Sweet fruits go along well with bitter hops. There is also that warming woody flavour. All in all, a very nice taste. Different than from what I'dd expected, but fuller of flavour and richer. I like it. The palate of the beer is very nice. Medium body, very smooth texture and medium low carbonation. The finish of the beer is very nice. I taste some nice warming woody flavours, some nice sweet malts and fruits and a bitter hop touch. Very nice. This beer is even better than I thought it would be. And it is unique; I can't think of a beer that is like this. Good job.
