COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Jonb5 (550) - Greater London, ENGLAND - MAR 6, 2012
Pale colour, clear with a small head. Smelled noble hops, aroma seemed more like a north german Pils than franconian. The first mouthfulls were promising, had a nice balanced hoppy bitterness and notes of pine but the taste changed and it got harder and harder to finish. Fairly smooth, nice mouthfull for a Pils. Promised much but didn’t deliver.

(bottle) Clear, light golden colour. Thick, rocky and stable white head. Aroma of herbal and floral hops with a touch of honey. A bit of grainy malts in the background, but not too much. Light to medium body. Taste is not as bitter as I usually expect from a good pilsner, but this one is very well-balanced. Nice, crisp and delicious. A very good session beer!

Bottled. Golden colour, small white foamy head, that leaves some lace. Aroma is sweet and bready malts along with some grass, herbs and some slight saltwatery notes. Flavour is being quite similar with some mild hayish notes. Yet quite balanced and refreshing German Pils.

I thought this was quite good actually. I bought it because I liked the idea of a benedictine pils. Anyway, looks like you expect a pils to look, smells nice fresh, notes of hay. Nice crisp mouthfeel, just enough bitterness in the dry ending. Real good. Would and will buy it again.

Schroppfy (2360) - Łódż, Warsaw, Poland; Michigan, Ohio, USA - OCT 19, 2010
UPDATED: OCT 27, 2010 Best before April 29, 2011, so quite fresh. Very light colored yellow. There is a kind of frothiness to the head, it slowly dissolves into a thin ring. Aroma of field flowers, straw, pepper, delicate pencil shavings - kind of fresh moldy as kappldave mentions. Tastes spicy (pepper), bready malt, slightly sweet. Good. This Piwoteka store on ul. Sierpnia I just found is the shit!

stouby (4669) - Holbæk, DENMARK - SEP 19, 2010
Bottle at home. Light yellow with a white head giving nice lacings. Aroma light to moderate malty (caramel), moderate hoppy (straw). Light to moderate sweet, moderate bitter, clean and long lasting. Medium body.

Bottled. A light golden beer with a lazing white head. The aroma has notes of malt and straw as well as a touch of bread. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt and straw and again a touch of bread, leading to a dry and delicately bitter finish.
