Bottle: Deep amber coloured, quite firm fluffy and lacing yellowish head; malty and caramelly and a bit toasted aroma; rather light bodied, moderate sweet-bitter flavour; roast-malty bitterness in the dry malty finish. A very pleasant franconian Dunkel....... MoritzF (9851) - Ottobrunn, GERMANY - SEP 4, 2008
(bottle) Clear, chestnut colour with a beautiful and stable, slowly lacing off-white foamy head. Aromatic, caramel-malty and roasty aroma with a touch of cacao and light notes of herbal hops in the background. Light-sweet flavour with a burnt bitterness, light to medium bodied, moderately carbonated mouthfeel. Roast-malty taste with caramel and cacao/chocolate; quite dry, roast-malty and slightly burnt bitter finish. Lacks a bit body but is anyway a likeable dry Franconian Dunkel with noble bitterness (18.04.07).
